Job Description RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER (Front of House) Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Dallas Luna Roja | Modern Mexican Restaurant & Bar Dallas, Texas THE OPPORTUNITY Luna Roja is launching as a modern Mexican restaurant and bar built for today’s Dallas, bold, social, culture-rich, and deeply connected to its neighborhood. This is a rare opportunity to step in at the ground floor and help build something meaningful, not simply manage something existing. As the Restaurant General Manager, you are a founding leader. You will shape the culture, set the tone, and define what hospitality feels like at Luna Roja, from pre-opening energy to longterm neighborhood loyalty. This role is for a leader who thrives on connection, momentum, and ownership, and who understands that great restaurants are built on both experience and performance. You are not inheriting systems; you’re helping create them. You are not just running shifts; you’re building energy and consistency. You are not managing a dining room; you’re leading a restaurant and bar people feel emotionally connected to. WHO YOU ARE You are a high-energy, people-first operator with strong emotional intelligence, style, and presence. You lead from the floor, not the office. You know how to balance warmth with accountability, creativity with discipline, and hospitality with results. You understand how modern guests engage with restaurants and bars today, through atmosphere, programming, social moments, local relevance, and genuine human interaction. You take pride in building teams, cultivating regulars, and driving sales in a way that feels natural, confident, and guest-first. You believe hospitality and performance are not opposites, they reinforce each other. YOUR MISSION Your mission is to bring Luna Roja to life as a vibrant, inclusive, high-performing neighborhood restaurant and bar, one that locals return to weekly, bring friends to proudly, and feel emotionally connected to. You are the face of the brand, the pulse of the floor, and the leader responsible for ensuring that every guest experience, every shift, and every service moment contributes to strong sales, loyal repeat business, and long-term success. WHAT YOU'LL DO Create an Unforgettable Guest Experience • Set the tone for hospitality that is warm, confident, social, and elevated, never stiff or scripted. • Be a constant, visible presence on the floor: greeting guests, building regulars, and creating moments that feel personal and memorable. • Ensure every touchpoint reflects the Luna Roja identity: modern Mexican, high-energy, neighborhood-driven, and unmistakably Dallas. • Lead experiential programming including Taco Tuesday, Bottomless Brunch, live music, DJ nights, tequila & mezcal features, and seasonal celebrations. • Actively manage guest feedback and online presence, responding with authenticity, speed, and care. New Business Development & Community Revenue Growth • Own and actively grow new business development for the restaurant and bar, with a focus on large parties, private events, celebrations, buyouts, and repeat group business. • Build and maintain strong customer relationships with local businesses, residents, hotels, event planners, creatives, and community partners to generate consistent inbound and outbound event opportunities. • Proactively prospect, cultivate, and convert new event and group dining leads through on-floor relationship building, community presence, and local outreach. • Set and achieve clear goals for private dining revenue, group sales, and event bookings, with accountability for both short-term performance and long-term pipeline development. • Ensure every large party and event delivers a seamless, high-touch guest experience that drives repeat bookings, referrals, and brand advocacy. • Collaborate with culinary, beverage, and marketing teams to package offerings, promotions, and seasonal experiences that increase demand and revenue. • Track performance against new business and event goals, using insights to refine outreach, programming, and pricing strategies.
