Job Description Proof of the Pudding is seeking an experienced Warehouse General Manager to lead and support the coordination of off-premise catering operations. This role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse activities, including inventory control, professional warehouse workflow, fleet and equipment readiness, and the safe distribution of food and catering equipment for multiple events each week. The Warehouse General Manager will also help schedule and maintain delivery trucks, ensure proper use and upkeep of warehouse tools and machinery (including forklifts), and train warehouse and operations team members in safe and efficient practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operations leader with strong experience in warehouse management, OSHA and food safety compliance, fleet coordination, and team leadership. This individual excels at maintaining accurate inventory, optimizing logistics, and fostering a culture of safety and accountability. This position is based out of our corporate office in West Midtown. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Managing all warehouse staff: Event Day Packers, Warehouse Associates, Drivers, and Event Stewards., • Responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and offices., • Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new and existing warehouse staff and supervisors., • Utilizing ATS and payroll system, Paycom, to manage employee profiles, approve and monitor payroll, and facilitate recruitment efforts., • Creating and communicating equipment pull sheets and assist with pulling equipment for events., • Ensure monthly inventory is counted and submitted., • Operate and oversee the safe use of warehouse machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment., • Create and monitor the warehouse monthly labor budget guided by event schedule and staffing needs., • Attend weekly BEO meetings to ensure full understanding of scheduled events, equipment needs, and logistical details., • Coordinate fleet logistics including route planning, truck maintenance scheduling, and vehicle inspections., • Coordinate driver assignments, routes, and delivery schedules, • Maintain accurate vehicle logs, inspection reports, and maintenance records, • Manage vendor relationships for repairs, parts, and leasing services, • Performs transfers of products and/or merchandise to and from the warehouse, • Responsible for receiving products and merchandise, checking for quality and damages to items, and the proper storage of the delivered products and merchandise, • Support shipping and receiving operations by moving pallets and freight as needed., • Manage the warehouse team in loading and unloading trucks, transferring equipment between outlets, and making deliveries or driving to events when needed., • Processes requests for supplies, prepares merchandise for delivery, and prepares packages for shipping according to established procedures Education and/or Experience • 6+ years of warehouse lead experience, • Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment., • Must be available for a variety of shift times (nights and weekends are needed), • Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, ability to be DOT certified and have the ability/willingness to drive box trucks., • Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes., • Experience in operating common warehouse machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks, etc., • Must be a leader that possess great communication skills, • Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment and following and communicating all safety protocols, • Knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and safety compliance., • Must have a strong work ethic and be well organized The work environment for this position ranges daily. On average 20% of the typical job duties will include office work while 80% of the duties will be performed as the “boots on the ground” manager. The work environment will largely be in the warehouse, associated offices, and onsite at events. Physical Demands: • Prolonged periods of standing, moving through a limited space, and walking on various surfaces, • Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items, • Business Acumen - Demonstrate comprehension of the job, including policies, practices, and relationships.
