Position Summary The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring a safe and patient-centered environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to patient care, safety, and compliance with hospital, state, and federal standards. Key Responsibilities • Perform MRI examinations following established imaging protocols and physician orders., • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, following all MRI safety zone requirements, ACR guidelines, and universal precautions., • Accurately screen patients for contraindications such as implants, pacemakers, or metal objects, ensuring compliance with MRI safety standards., • Obtain and document relevant patient medical history and confirm exam information prior to imaging., • Operate MRI equipment efficiently and ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards., • Utilize PACS, HIM, RIS/MediTech, systems for accurate data entry, image management, and exam documentation., • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks and report any equipment or safety issues promptly., • Demonstrate strong patient-centered care, providing clear communication, comfort, and support to patients and families throughout the imaging process., • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal workflow and patient outcomes., • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and hospital policies at all times., • Transport and assist patients as needed, ensuring dignity and safety., • ARRT (MR) certification and State of Florida AIT License required., • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent accredited program., • Minimum of one (1) year of MRI experience preferred., • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards, anatomy, and imaging protocols., • Excellent communication, organizational, and patient service skills., • Graduate of an AMA approved radiological technologist program or MRI program., • At least 1 year of experience in MRI., • At least 2 years' experience in Radiology., • Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and be licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment., • Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to quality care., • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
