Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Manager / Sr. Manager of Artist Operations to lead the execution and coordination of activities for a global music group. This role is focused on operational excellence, cross-functional alignment, and end-to-end project delivery across a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will partner closely with internal teams including label, production, marketing, touring, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of schedules, projects, and initiatives. This role emphasizes structured planning, process optimization, and stakeholder management rather than direct artist representation. You will also lead and mentor a team of coordinators and assistants, building scalable systems and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all activities. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Santa Monica office. The role requires extensive travel, including significant time on the road for tours and other commitments supporting the artist group. Key Responsibilities Operational Planning & Scheduling • Own and manage complex, high-volume schedules across projects, campaigns, and events, • Build and optimize scheduling systems to improve efficiency, visibility, and cross-team alignment, • Ensure priorities are clearly defined and resources are allocated effectively, • Anticipate conflicts and proactively adjust plans to maintain continuity Cross-functional Program Management • Serve as the central point of coordination across departments (label, touring, PR, production, brand, etc.), • Intake, prioritize, and align requests across stakeholders to ensure efficient execution, • Establish clear communication channels, timelines, and expectations across teams, • Identify risks and resolve conflicts to keep initiatives on track Project Management & Execution • Lead end-to-end execution of key initiatives (e.g., releases, campaigns, tours, content production), • Define project plans, timelines, dependencies, and success metrics, • Track deliverables and ensure accountability across multiple concurrent projects, • Implement and maintain documentation, workflows, and scalable operational processes Team Leadership & Operations Scaling • Manage and mentor Operations Assistants, driving high performance and consistency, • Develop best practices, playbooks, and training materials to standardize execution, • Build scalable support structures to meet growing operational demands, • Foster a culture of accountability, organization, and continuous improvement Logistics & Execution Management • Oversee complex logistics including travel, production coordination, and on-site execution, • Ensure seamless execution across domestic and international activities, • Troubleshoot real-time operational challenges in high-pressure environments Qualifications • 8+ years of experience in operations, project management, or program management, ideally within music, entertainment, live events, or other global, fast-paced industries, • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives at scale, • Strong operational mindset with the ability to design, implement, and optimize processes, workflows, and systems, • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously, • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, • High level of discretion, professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information, • Strong adaptability and comfort operating in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments, • Experience working across global teams, with an understanding of cultural nuance and international operations, • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally It’s a bonus if you have • Experience supporting live events, touring, or large-scale productions, • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, • Interest in and awareness of emerging trends within entertainment and media, • Experience managing distributed teams and/or international projects, • Multilingual proficiency (e.g., Korean, Spanish, Japanese, and/or Portuguese) Don't match every skill listed? This range is base salary only and does not include benefits and any other compensatory components of the role.
