Job DescriptionThe Inside Sales position will directly report to Houston GM. This position will work closely with Operations, Sales, and Administrative Assistant. The primary job responsibility will be sales order entry and should enter 90% of all orders. This person will be the first point of contact for walk in sales as well as phone sales. Assist with administrative and technical processes from sales order entry process to closeout process. This position is responsible for supporting ERL customers and their needs as well as data entry, follow-up customer communication, documentation control of sales orders and other responsibilities as detailed below. Primary Responsibilities • Effectively take orders from customers and from coworkers’ notes to create sales orders, • Answer phones and greet customers/visitors, • Understand ERL's capabilities, products, prices, and abilities, • Understand customer requirements and communicate technical details about all ERL services and products, • Understand the operation of inland tank barges and how ERL services tank barges, • Respond in a timely manner with customer quote requests via phone, email, or formal quote, • Communicate and build relationships with customers looking to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule, • Enter Purchase Orders received from customers on appropriate Sales Order in NetSuite, • Assist Outside Sales with quotes, pricing, availability and entering Sales Orders in NetSuite, • Resolve customer issues on orders, technical issues, and delivery/tracking issues, • Route qualified opportunities to the Outside Sales Representative for further development and closure, • Documentation control includes ensuring all documents – Purchase Orders, signed Packing Lists, closed Work Orders, etc. are scanned under the appropriate Sales Order in NetSuite and maintains physical job files, • Assist with Sales Orders, Job Travelers/Work Orders, close completed Jobs in NetSuite, • Track open Work Orders and open Sales Orders., • Provide reports upon request or as needed, • Responsible for reporting sales activity daily, • Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by Management, • Proactively communicate with operations to receive updates on open orders and relay those updates to the appropriate customer Required Skills, • Clear and effective communication, • Analytical, problem solving, time management and decision- making skills, • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP, CRM), • Self-driven with strong work ethic and initiative, • Strong attention to detail and organization skills required, • Ability to operate under deadlines, manage and prioritize projects, • Ability to read and understand prints (2D Drawings) a plus LWklm9IaVc
