Job DescriptionLHH is working on a temporary to hire Payroll Supervisor position in the north Seattle, WA area. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of payroll processing experience and have experience handling union payroll. This role won't supervise employees until after you are fully trained and comfortable with the processes in the department. You will work closely with HR and other teams so professional communication skills are needed. You will need to work fully in office but free parking is offered. Responsibilities: • Process and review complex payroll for multiple departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations., • Manage union payroll and related reporting, collaborating with HR and finance teams to address any discrepancies or issues., • Support payroll audits and assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution., • Maintain and update payroll systems, incorporating changes in employee status, pay rates, and benefit deductions., • Serve as a key point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and providing guidance to team members., • Train new staff on payroll procedures and best practices once proficient in department processes. Qualifications:, • Minimum of five years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-department environment., • Demonstrated experience with union payroll and related reporting requirements., • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance standards., • Proficiency with payroll software systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with HR and finance teams., • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
