Security Engineering Leader Dallas, TX - Onsite 5 Days / Week $200,000 - $300,000 Salary + Equity Relocation support available About the Role We are seeking an experienced Security Engineering Director to lead a growing team of security engineers and architects. This role plays a critical part in building, scaling, and embedding security practices across a global technology business. You will oversee a team that drives both day-to-day cyber defense operations and long-term security architecture initiatives, ensuring our systems are robust, scalable, and future-ready. Key Responsibilities • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security engineers and architects, • Oversee core functions including security engineering & solution design, incident response & threat modelling, identity and access management and automation to support scalable operations., • Partner with IT, risk, and compliance functions to embed security across the business, • Provide security architecture reviews for new applications, ensuring proper authentication, network configuration, and identity controls, • Drive the adoption of cloud security best practices and modern DevSecOps approaches, • Prioritize workloads, orchestrate projects, and ensure data-driven decision-making, • Contribute to the long-term roadmap of security strategy, tooling, and organizational design. About You • Strong technical mastery with broad security engineering expertise across multiple domains., • Several years of management experience while being hands-on as a "player - coach", • Cloud security expertise, ideally AWS (multi-cloud awareness is a plus), • Tools & Tech: Splunk, SASE, role-based access control, DevSecOps, DAST/SAST
