Job Description Under general supervision and reporting to Operations Leadership, the Senior Supplier Quality Engineer serves as a vital link between TRIGO ADR and our Prime Aerospace or Defense customers. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is a “hands on” role that will identify, drive, and manage projects to improve Delivery, Quality and cost performance within the Supply Chain. The Supplier Quality activities are focused on product and process performance for all production including New Programs, Current Production and Legacy, providing the link between Group Quality, Procurement and Supplier interacting with all relevant functions as required. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure the day-to-day project execution & coordination at the Supplier. The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for the development of our supplier base. Will utilize expertise in Quality, Purchasing, and Operations and will be deployed to our suppliers to ensure continuous improvement of their operations as well as containment of situations. MUST BE A US CITIZEN- BILINGUAL PREFERRED-TRAVEL INTO MX REQUIRED PCBA EXPEREINCE REQUIRED Job Responsibilities:• • Leadership and Management: Guide and lead a production team in the assembly and testing of electronic and/or mechanical products, • Performance Accountability: Take full ownership of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for a multi-cell/multi-shift operation•, • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies, • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Interact daily with other functions such as technical support, engineering, facilities, production control, and finance to meet organizational goals Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans, including creating current and future state value stream maps, • Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and program deliverables, • Lead MRB activities to achieve optimal disposition of non-conforming material and ensure that adequate corrective actions are implemented., • Perform on-site supplier visits/audits, assess suppliers manufacturing and quality processes; develop root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues, • Develop and maintain detailed and accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress. Report weekly and monthly on supplier progress to meet customer expectations., • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment, • 5-8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) standards at a quality engineering level., • Strong understanding of various Engineering Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing, Specifications, and GD&T, • 5-8 years' experience hands-on experience with the ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes, especially in Production, Quality, and logistics, • Knowledge of, (or hands-on experience preferred), with FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations, • Experience leading customer audits, • Strong verbal, written and communication skills, • Project management, time management, problem solving and organization, • Ability to work as an effective team member and lead other team members, • Quality Management Systems (QMS) and QMS auditing, • Process Improvement and other “toolbox” processes (i.e., DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TAKT, 5Why, 8D, Poka-Yoke, etc.), • IPC-600, IPC-610, IPC-620 as applicable dependent on supplier base, • Aerospace quality, engineering, and manufacturing, • ITAR standards and regulations; USG FAR and DFAR., • Quality metrology functions (gage calibration / verification process), • Quality containment activities (MRB, quality walls, Return to green plans Gant charts), • Engineering Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing, Specifications, and GD&T, • Risk registries or similar forms., • MS Office, • Robust team leadership, mentoring, employee development, • Professionalism, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail, • Strong independent decision-making skills; excellent analytical skills and professional judgment, • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, • Extensive technical aptitude, • Strong organizational skills, • Ability to effectively communicate and present to senior management, • Business acumenGeneral Requirements, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical discipline; master’s degree preferred, • Manufacturing Quality Experience 20+ years, • Aerospace experience required 15+ years, • Quality Management System development and implementation, • Supply chain management and supplier development experience, • Program / Project Management experience, • 10+ years FAI experience with AS9102 (FAI) Protocol, • Hands-on inspection experience and ability to use basic inspection tools and equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.), • Working knowledge and experience with inspection methods, techniques, and protocols, • Strong understanding of Engineering Mechanical Processes, Standard Drawings Conventions, Interpreting Drawing, Specifications and GD&T BENEFITS: • 12 days paid vacation first year, increasing with service years, • 10 days paid sick time, • 11 paid holidays, • Healthcare insurance available: Medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, critical illness, life insurance for self and dependents, • Champ Plan Wellness and Health, • Free to employees working minimum 20 hours/week with anticipated $30k/annual earnings, • Participation increases net take home pay $$$ in most instances, • Free wellness initiatives, • Free tele-health, • Free and discounted RX, • Auto enrollment (unless tax elections result in negative impact), • Eligible on the 1st of the month following 30 days of continuous employment, • Requires monthly 10-minute wellness activity participation, • 401k retirement savings with match, • Eligible on the first (1st) of the month following 90 days of continuous employment, • 100% match of 1st 3% contribution, • 50% match of next 2% contribution, • IMMEDIATE VESTING, • Company-provided cell phone, laptop, mobile wi-fi (for business use only), • Regular Hourly rate for travel time, • Direct Pay Travel arrangements for flights, hotels and rental cars, • Travel Reimbursements direct deposited with each payroll, • Federal rate Mileage reimbursement when driving personal vehicles on company business, • Per diem reimbursements for meals and incidentals, • $1500 EMPLOYEE REFERRAL BONUS, • Initial $750 paid upon hire of qualified referred employee (rehires excluded) Company Overview TRIGO ADR Americas is the leader in the Aerospace & Defense Industry providing global Supplier Delivery Assurance, Supplier Development and Quality Management Services.
