ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY We are hiring an HVAC Technician (Union Local 32BJ) to join our Engineering Team. The HVAC Technician installs and repairs various air quality systems. Main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. In addition, the HVAC Technician is responsible for installing and testing geothermal HVAC systems to ensure compliance and functionality with safety requirements. WHAT YOU'LL DO The HVAC Technician must complete all tasks and assignments assigned by the Director of Engineering, including but not limited to: · Maintaining systems or installing new units · Removing old systems · Conducting inspections · Troubleshooting issues · Ordering equipment · Meeting local HVAC codes · Maintaining any warrantee maintenance · Keeping record of service orders · The successful candidate will be required to adhere to the terms of an existing Union Agreement (Local 32BJ) · Managing special projects as assigned by Director of Engineering WHAT YOU'LL NEED Preferred: · High school diploma or GED · Previous experience as a HVAC Technician · HVAC certification · CFC certification The following capabilities and distinctions are strongly preferred: · Technical knowledge of geothermal systems for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of geothermal heat pumps and related equipment · Soldering and braising skills · Knowledge of local building codes · Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics · Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills · Good communication and interpersonal skills · Able to lift heavy equipment · On-site with frequent movement around the Club both indoors and outdoors PAY RANGE $30.00 - $32.00 compensation, commensurate with experience. As a pool tech, your duties will include driving to the customers' location, and helping with various pool service jobs. To ensure success as a pool service plumber, you should have excellent knowledge of swimming pool equipment and maintenance, be able to work with hazardous chemicals, and interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner. Pool Service Technician Responsibilities: • Driving the company vehicle to customer’s location., • Maintaining equipment and chemical stock levels at store and in the vehicle., • Testing swimming pool water pH, and chlorine levels., • Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct pH level., • Cleaning swimming pool using authorized equipment., • Fixing cracks or leaks in the swimming pool structure., • Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
