Job Description We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fertilizer Trader to join our team. The Fertilizer Trader will play a critical role in sourcing, trading, and managing the distribution of fertilizer products while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and customers. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, a robust network, and the ability to analyze market trends to maximize profitability. Key Responsibilities Trading: • Negotiate purchase and sales contracts to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms., • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and end-users., • Identify and onboard new clients to expand the customer base., • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive dynamics, and opportunities for growth., • Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profitability., • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations., • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demands while minimizing carrying costs., • Ensure all trade activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of experience in international, fertilizer trading, vessel chartering, and US barge/rail distribution systems., • Proficiency with incoterms, trade finance, physical market etiquette., • Strong analytical skills and market awareness, with an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments. Working Conditions • Office environment with occasional travel to meet suppliers, customers, and attend industry events., • May require working extended hours during peak trading periods.
