OverviewThis position on the commercial team has direct ownership of and responsibility for personally driving revenue growth across Happy Health’s core dental and medical markets. This is a highly hands-on role focused first on doing: managing and closing opportunities directly, creating net-new opportunities through outbound and relationship-led efforts, and converting inbound demand into revenue. In addition, this role is responsible for helping build the structure, discipline, and commercial processes needed to support scale over time. As part of the team behind the Happy Health product, you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines to expand Happy Health’s footprint in general dentistry, sleep dentistry, and related dental markets. You will work directly with dental practices, DSOs, distributors, vendors, labs, and key opinion leaders to develop relationships, open doors, advance deals, and drive commercial growth. While this role includes leadership responsibility across sales processes, partnership development, pipeline management, and eventual team buildout, the primary expectation is that this person is a strong individual contributor who can personally generate, manage, and close meaningful business. Key Responsibilities * Personally originate, manage, and close revenue opportunities across dental practices, DSOs, channel partners, and strategic partnership accounts. * Generate net-new commercial opportunities through outbound efforts, industry relationships, referrals, partnerships, and proactive business development within the dental market. * Personally manage and close a meaningful share of key inbound, relationship-led, outbound, and channel-sourced opportunities. * Build, deepen, and activate relationships across the dental ecosystem, including dentists, DSOs, distributors, vendors, labs, and key opinion leaders, with a focus on driving near-term revenue and long-term commercial access. * Translate strong existing product-market fit and market interest into signed business through consistent execution, follow-up, and deal advancement. * Own the commercial process from initial outreach through signed deal and coordinated handoff into onboarding and implementation. * Maintain strong pipeline discipline across prospecting, opportunity prioritization, follow-up, forecasting, and conversion management. * Identify and pursue new channels, partner pathways, and relationship-based growth opportunities that can expand Happy Health’s reach in general dentistry, sleep dentistry, and related dental markets. * Serve as a senior external representative of Happy Health in the market and help strengthen the company’s position as a trusted commercial and clinical partner in sleep dentistry. * Help build the commercial foundation for scale, including core process, operating cadence, and eventual team development, while remaining primarily hands-on in day-to-day exe Qualifications Required Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or commercial leadership roles. * Significant experience within the dental industry. * Demonstrated ability to personally close deals and grow revenue in a relationship-driven market. * Strong existing relationships within the dental industry, including dental practices and broader ecosystem stakeholders. * Proven ability to manage complex opportunities across multiple stakeholders and move deals from interest to execution. * Strong ability to operate independently, execute with urgency, and bring structure to a growing commercial function. * Experience balancing hands-on individual contributor work with leadership, oversight, and team development. Preferred Qualifications: * Deep DSO experience and existing DSO relationships. * Strong relationships with dental distributors, vendors, labs, and dental KOL networks. * Experience in a high-growth startup or emerging growth company. * Experience selling solutions that require operational coordination beyond a simple transactional sale. * Familiarity with sleep dentistry, dental sleep medicine, or adjacent clinical and dental workflows. * Experience hiring or managing small sales, partnerships, or account-facing teams. Collaboration: You will directly collaborate with many members across the team and are expected to serve as a senior commercial leader across sales, partnerships, and execution. Leadership: You will work closely with the CEO and other company leaders to help shape commercial priorities, partnership strategy, and go-to-market execution. Operations: You will collaborate directly with operations leadership and team members to ensure that opportunities are handed off effectively and that the commercial process aligns with operational capacity and execution. Clinical: You will work with clinical leadership as needed to ensure that commercial conversations and partner relationships are aligned with the underlying clinical model and care delivery workflows. Product and Marketing: You will partner with product and marketing stakeholders to communicate market feedback, strengthen positioning, and improve how Happy Health presents and delivers its solution to the dental market. External Partners: You will work directly with dentists, DSOs, distributors, vendors, labs, and other strategic stakeholders to grow Happy Health’s commercial presence and partnership network. Work Environment: Austin, TX is preferred. Remote may be considered for the right candidate. This role is expected to involve regular interaction with external partners and will require travel for partner meetings, conferences, and market development. This role is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, urgency, and ownership in a fast-paced environment. Salary Range: Base salary, performance-based bonus and/or commission, and equity will be structured based on candidate experience and fit.
