Job Description Outside (In‐Home) Sales Manager – Residential Construction (ADUs) Location: Norwalk, CT (Office + Field in Connecticut) Job Type: Full-Time | Salary + Commission Lead the Sales Engine Behind a New Way of Living At Contemporary Tiny Homes, we’re reinventing residential living with high-quality, custom Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). Our mission is to help homeowners create flexible, beautiful spaces for family, rental income, aging in place, and more. We’re looking for a hands-on Sales Manager who can do two things exceptionally well: • Personally close high-ticket in-home sales, and, • Build and refine the sales machine—processes, proposals, scripts, and materials—that will support a small but growing team of Outside Sales Executives. We provide pre-qualified, inbound leads. You bring the energy, follow-through, and closing skills. What You’ll Do You’ll split your time between in-home sales and office-based sales leadership & process building. In-Home Sales & Customer Experience • Run in-home consultations with pre-qualified leads across Connecticut., • Build rapport quickly and naturally with homeowners; listen deeply, uncover needs, and help them envision how an ADU can transform their property and lifestyle., • Present tailored ADU solutions, walk the property, and guide customers through options, pricing, and timelines., • Handle objections with a high-integrity, customer-first mindset, always focused on what’s right for the customer., • Follow up diligently on every appointment and promise—proposals, custom design revisions, answers to questions, etc.—with a strong sense of urgency. Own & Refine the Sales Process • Design and refine our proposal process: from initial consultation notes to polished, accurate proposals and scopes of work., • Personally generate detailed proposals and collaborate with design/construction to ensure feasibility and clarity., • Standardize and improve how we capture site visit notes, photos, and customer preferences in the CRM., • Develop and refine sales scripts, talk tracks, and objection-handling frameworks for phone, email, and in-home meetings., • Create and continuously improve demo materials for site visits: leave-behinds, sample packages, visuals, and presentation tools. Pipeline Management & Follow-Up Discipline • Own the end-to-end follow-up process: ensure every lead receives timely contact, proposals, revisions, and updates., • Monitor CRM activity and pipeline health; make sure no opportunity is neglected., • Build simple, effective workflows/checklists so that every prospect receives a consistent, 5-star experience. Leadership & Team Building (Now and Over Time) • Start as a player-coach: carry your own quota and model excellence in the field., • Over time, help hire, onboard, and coach 1–2 Outside Sales Executives., • Provide ongoing coaching on scripts, presentations, and follow-up discipline., • Share field insights with leadership and marketing to improve lead quality and messaging. Who You Are You’re a driven, highly organized, people-focused sales leader who thrives both in front of customers and behind the scenes, building systems. Must-Have Experience • Proven track record of in-home sales in home services, remodeling, roofing, siding, general contracting, or real estate., • Consistent history of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a high-ticket, consultative, home-based sales environment., • Experience generating proposals, scopes, or estimates for home improvement or construction projects. Skills & Traits • High integrity sales mindset: you build trust, don’t oversell, and always prioritize long-term relationships over short-term wins., • Exceptionally personable: you connect easily with homeowners, can simplify complex projects, and help them feel confident in their decision., • Highly organized and detail-oriented: you hate dropping the ball and are relentless about follow-up, documentation, and honoring commitments., • Strong CRM discipline (HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Salesforce, or similar):, • Logging all notes and next steps, • Managing pipeline stages, • Tracking proposals and follow-ups, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: clear, concise, and professional in emails, proposals, and live conversations., • Comfortable building and iterating on scripts, playbooks, and processes., • Entrepreneurial mindset: you like building something, not just following a script., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Nice-to-Haves • Experience leading or mentoring other sales reps (even informally as a “go-to” person on your team)., • Exposure to residential construction, ADUs, or general contracting workflows., • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (preferred but not required). Work Location & Schedule • Hybrid role:, • Time in the Norwalk, CT office for proposal work, process development, team collaboration, and training., • Regular in-home appointments and site visits with leads across Connecticut., • Occasional evening and weekend appointments as needed to meet homeowner availability.
