BENEFITS • Up to 10% Retirement Contribution, • $600 per Year Wellness Incentive, • Two Weeks Starting Paid Time Off TECHNICAL SERVICE SPECIALIST - SPECIALTY SOLUTIONS The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical service support for foam control applications for new and existing business. This includes troubleshooting, problem solving and field testing of new products, application ideas and equipment. In addition, this individual will help support the corporate concept of total customer satisfaction as a way of life. Primary responsibilities include: • Maintain defoamer and chemical business at sugar, potato, ethanol and other current manufacturing accounts, • Assist in closing business where opportunities have been uncovered by sales reps, • Install, maintain and repair feed systems such as metering pumps and polymer dilution systems, • Be proactive in identifying leads, qualifying them and closing opportunities that will enhance Hydrite's long-term market viability, • Survey plants, utilize the various tools available to determine best-in-class solutions and offer unique chemical programs for our customers, • Effectively manage time and territory to maximize productive activities, • Write timely chemical treatment proposals and service reports, • Maintain chemical sample supplies and equipment required to service accounts REPORTING STRUCTURE • This position reports to the Sales Director and works closely with the Account Manager in the region. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE • 4 year bachelor's degree in a science related field, or 2-year tech school degree preferred, • Minimum of 3-5 years field experience in industrial manufacturing plants, • 1-3 years sales and/or field experience is desired, • Must possess strong problem solving, troubleshooting and "people" skills, • Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Position requires travel and frequent overnight stays., • Driving or riding in an automobile or aircraft for 3 to 6 hours at a time., • Standing for extended periods of 3 to 4 hours., • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and carry at least 20-30 feet., • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, bend, reach and climb stairs occasionally., • Ability to type on a computer for 2 to 3 hours daily., • Ability to work in conditions with unpleasant odors and surroundings.
