Job Description Primary Role A Journeyman Electrician at Global Electric is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This position requires technical expertise, adherence to safety and compliance standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the company's quality standards. Requirements: • Global Electric will require a minimum of 8000 documented TDLR hours, • Global prefers to have a licensed card-holding Journeyman, • Global will require a drug test before employment Electrical Installation & Maintenance: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, panels, circuits, lighting, transformers, and related equipment., • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout and requirements., • Pull wire, terminate conductors, install conduit, panels, and electrical devices per NEC and local codes., • Build, assemble, and install prefabricated electrical components provided by Global Electric., • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical systems to identify issues and implement solutions., • Strictly follow OSHA, NEC, and Global Electric safety policies on every job site., • Use and maintain required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)., • Inspect tools, ladders, lifts, and equipment daily for safe operation., • Identify potential hazards, report unsafe conditions, and stop work if necessary to prevent accidents., • Ensure lockout/tagout procedures are followed when working with energized equipment., • Work under the supervision of a Master Electrician, Project Manager, or Foreman to complete assigned tasks., • Accurately install electrical systems according to project specifications, drawings, and timelines., • Assist in planning material, tools, and equipment needs for assigned tasks., • Coordinate with apprentices, guiding and teaching proper methods, safety, and trade pracƟces., • Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding project progress, delays, or changes., • Mentor apprentices by demonstrating safe and efficient work practices., • Delegate tasks when appropriate while maintaining accountability for results., • Collaborate with other trades and project partners to ensure smooth workflow., • Accurately complete timesheets, work orders, and daily job reports., • Document material usage and request additional supplies when needed., • Communicate with supervisors about site conditions, progress, and issues., • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (State of operation)., • Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes., • Proficiency with electrical tools, meters, and testing devices., • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints., • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills., • Physical ability to perform electrical work (lifting, climbing, bending, working in confined spaces, etc.)., • Complete work accurately, on schedule, and within budget., • Uphold the company’s reputation for quality workmanship and professionalism., • Maintain safety-first mindset at all times., • Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and continuous learning., • Represent Global Electric values of Integrity, Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
