Job Description Position: Paralegal Location: Westwood, NJ Employment Type: Full-Time About Us: Bergen County Law Firm specializing in Land use, Zoning, and Real Estate Development has an immediate opening. We are seeking a detail-oriented Land Use Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong research, organizational, and writing skills, along with experience in zoning and real estate development-related matters. This role is key to ensuring projects move smoothly through the approval processes. Responsibilities: • Prepare, organize, and submit land use and zoning applications to municipal and state agencies., • Coordinate with surveyors, architects, engineers, and municipal staff., • Track deadlines, hearing dates, and prepare public notices., • Communicate with local building and zoning departments as well as state agencies., • Preparing hearing/trial binders and exhibits., • Maintain and manage case files, title documents, and correspondence., • Assist the attorney in preparing presentations, hearing materials, and client updates., • Review and summarize planning and zoning documents, including review letters and environmental impact studies., • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate required., • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in real estate, land use, and/or municipal law preferred., • Strong understanding of zoning codes, land development processes, and environmental permitting., • Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Sage Timeslips a plus, • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment., • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, • Comprehensive health insurance, • Paid time off and holidays Only Candidates with a Cover Letter and a Resume will be considered.
