Depending on the job and location, you may be directed to apply with Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects LLP or one of the following Legal entities: • You'll serve as the primary program lead for large-scale sustainability planning and energy projects, representing the organization to educational and municipal leadership, boards, and external partners., • You'll build and maintain strong relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, and external agencies (e.g., state chancellor’s offices, local utilities, city/county sustainability offices)., • You'll lead stakeholder outreach, education, and engagement efforts to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of sustainability initiatives., • You'll oversee the development and execution of sustainability master plans, including policy development, benchmarking, and compliance with state and federal climate action goals., • You'll manage all phases of project delivery for energy efficiency, renewable energy (solar PV, battery storage, microgrids), fleet electrification, water conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable procurement., • You'll coordinate feasibility analyses, financial modeling, procurement support, and reporting for major capital projects., • You'll develop and implement tailored Project Management Plans (PMPs) to ensure transparency, collaboration, and risk mitigation across all initiatives., • You'll direct technical teams and consultants in energy audits, greenhouse gas inventories, and sustainability benchmarking., • You'll guide the integration of sustainability into facilities, operations, curriculum, and procurement practices., • You'll ensure all projects meet applicable education codes, regulations, and best practices for sustainability and energy management. Be familiar with the latest Division of the State Architect (DSA) regulations., • You'll prepare and present periodic status reports, board presentations, and compliance documentation for state and district climate action and sustainability goals., • You'll lead the preparation and submission of required reports to regulatory bodies and funding agencies., • You'll identify and pursue third-party funding opportunities, grants, and incentives to support sustainability projects. Manage in-flight funding programs., • You'll identify and manage innovative financing strategies and mechanisms including green revolving funds to reinvest savings from energy and sustainability projects to reduce project costs., • You'll leverage existing contacts and relationships to expand the organization’s sustainability and energy services across the educational and municipal sectors., • You'll identify new opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive growth in sustainability consulting and program management., • You'll act as a key ambassador for the organization’s sustainability practice, promoting its capabilities and successes to potential clients (internal and external) and industry stakeholders., • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, public administration, or related field, • Minimum 10 years’ experience in program management, sustainability, or energy projects, with at least 5 years in the California Community College / K-12 system or similar public sector environment, • Demonstrated success leading large-scale sustainability, energy, or decarbonization initiatives in higher education or municipal settings, • Deep network and relationships within K-14 educational sector space, municipalities, utilities, and sustainability organizations, • Strong knowledge of state and federal climate action policies, sustainability frameworks, and reporting requirements, • Experience with stakeholder engagement, board presentations, and multi-disciplinary team leadership, • Technical expertise in energy audits, renewable energy, fleet electrification, water/waste management, Greenhouse Gas Accounting, green building principles and sustainable procurementBONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:, • Master's degree preferred, • California Professional Engineer (PE) license, • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), • Project Management Professional (PMP)
