Job Description Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator Location: Hackensack, NJ Duration: 14 Weeks | 40 Hours/Week | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Pay Rate: $18 - $21 per hour Position Overview: Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Scheduling Coordinator for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hackensack, NJ. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate tests, procedures, and surgeries efficiently and on time, • Schedule procedures in accordance with facility guidelines and requirements, • Verify patient demographics and maintain accurate records, • Handle insurance verification, coverage checks, and obtain preauthorizations, • Coordinate appointments with physician calendars and clinical teams, • Communicate appointment details and surgical preparation instructions to patients, • Ensure completion of pre-op documentation, consent forms, and medical clearances, • Coordinate pre-admission testing and follow up on results, • Track and manage scheduled, completed, and pending procedures, • Minimum 2 years of related experience required, • High School Diploma, GED, or HiSET required, • Prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, • Proficiency in medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines preferred, • Strong scheduling and coordination abilities, • Excellent patient communication and customer service skills, • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, • Ability to manage multiple procedures and appointments, • Knowledge of insurance verification and preauthorization processes, • Strong organizational and time management skills, • Ability to coordinate with physicians and clinical departments, • Professional communication skills, • Basic computer and data entry skills, • Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, • Team-oriented approach About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
