POSITION SUMMARY The Joe & The Juice Team is looking for a highly motivated, skilled tax professional to join our in-house tax team. Based in New York City, this role will report into the Senior Manager, Tax, in Copenhagen. The Manager of Tax will be a key member of the tax team, responsible for the day-to-day operations, including the accuracy and timeliness of compliance and tax reporting matters. This position will support direct and indirect tax compliance and tax accounting matters for Joe & The Juice's US and global operations. The role will partner with Accounting and Finance stakeholders to support them with all tax related matters. The role interfaces with partners across the organization, including the Accounting, Treasury, HR, Finance, Real estate & Growth and Legal teams to optimize existing processes, solve business challenges, design new workflows, and implement new technology solutions to drive efficient and accurate reporting. You will be responsible for strengthening relationships with third party advisors. You will be a critical member in the development of an adaptive Tax department that continues to scale to support Joe & The Juice's growth goals.     Position Summary As a Host at NORTE, you are the first and final point of contact for our guests and play an essential role in creating the energy, hospitality, and professionalism of the restaurant. Hosts are expected to provide warm, confident, polished, and engaging hospitality to every guest entering and leaving the venue. You are responsible for managing the arrival and departure experience, reservations, guest profiles, coat check, telephone communications, and other guest-facing areas while maintaining the standards expected of an upscale dining and nightlife environment. This position requires exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, professional presentation, discretion, organization, and the ability to remain composed and hospitable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Professional Presentation & Venue Standards • Maintain a polished, sophisticated, and fashion-forward professional appearance appropriate for an upscale restaurant and nightlife environment., • Adhere to all established uniform, grooming, hygiene, and presentation standards., • Maintain professional body language and posture while stationed at the entrance, host desk, coat check, or throughout guest-facing areas., • Avoid personal phone use, eating, leaning, congregating, or other behavior inconsistent with the professional presentation of the venue while in guest view., • Understand that the Host team contributes directly to the atmosphere and visual presentation of the restaurant while maintaining professionalism at all times. DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Classroom Management • Prepare and maintain classrooms according to the Early Childhood Environmental Ratings Scale (ECERS) standard, • Maintain a clean and safe environment that encourages health and hygiene of students and staff, • Ensure the supervision of students and maintain sight lines at all times, • Establish classroom rules and guidelines that build on clear expectations of classroom behavior and promote order and effective routines for students, • Follow all COVID-19 protocols and guidelines recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (DoH) Student Development • Maintain student logs i.e attendance roster, daily health inspection record, screening forms, incident reports, • Provide services to all students with respect and confidentiality in efforts to promote equity, diversity and an inclusive classroom, • Partner with the Education Director and the teaching staff on weekly/monthly instructional lesson plans that are both creative and engaging to students in accordance with the NYC Department of Education and HighScope Early Learning Curriculums AND that meet student developmental goals, • Work along with the Education Director and Teaching Assistant to host bi-annual student evaluation sessions with families that review student development and strengthens family partnership, • Implements appropriate behavior management strategies to achieve and maintain a functional learning classroom environment Family Engagement • Create and post monthly classroom newsletters keeping families regularly informed of, but not limited to, school requirements and upcoming events., • Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging classroom-level family events throughout the school year, including seasonal activities, multicultural gatherings, and end-of-year graduation/culminating celebrations that build community and honor student achievements., • Identify barriers to family engagement and provide resources for families as needed Administration • Prep your classrooms daily before the arrival of your students, • Participate in weekly and/or monthly staff meetings, • Attend professional development workshops and seminars as needed REQUIREMENTS • NY State Initial or Professional Teaching Certification (Early Childhood / Birth–Grade 2) or,, • A formally approved study plan, • State Central Registry (SCR) Child Abuse Clearance, PETS (Personnel Eligibility Tracking System) registration/clearance, up-to-date medical clearance / TB Test as mandated by NYC DOHMH Stillwell Avenue Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in its employment decisions, in accordance with state and federal laws
