Job Summary Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time Application and Governance Support Specialist to join our team. The Application and Governance Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining a strong and compliant IT control environment while supporting the Bank’s data reporting and application performance needs. This role ensures adherence to FFIEC Guidelines, DFS Part 500, and COBIT framework standards, while also developing and delivering business analytics reports and data feeds across departments. The position partners closely with the Information Technology and Operational teams to implement and support core and ancillary banking solutions, manage vendor relationships, and resolve technical issues. In addition, the role collaborates with business units to assess reporting, data visualization, and compliance requirements, ensuring technology solutions align with both operational and regulatory objectives. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities IT Governance and Compliance: • Assist the Director of IT Governance in maintaining and monitoring the bank’s IT control environment to ensure compliance with FFIEC Guidelines, DFS Part 500, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), and COBIT framework standards., • Support the Director of IT Governance in developing, documenting, and maintaining IT process controls and procedures that promote regulatory compliance and operational efficiency., • Perform SOX key control testing and assist with periodic self-audits of internal systems to verify control effectiveness and identify areas for improvement., • Implements and maintains review procedures for IT system additions, deletions, and changes to uphold control integrity., • Conduct periodic reviews of core system security and assist with corrective action plans to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements., • Partner with Infrastructure, Application Support, Hardware Support, and Information Security teams to validate control adequacy, documentation standards, and adherence to IT Governance procedures., • Support the Director of IT Governance in ensuring compliance with vendor oversight requirements for all IT-managed third-party relationships and assist in vendor reviews and audits., • Acts as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors, maintaining organized documentation, tracking audit requests, and coordinating responses., • Contribute to IT strategic planning efforts by providing input on control improvements, risk mitigation strategies, and technology optimization opportunities., • Administer and schedule business analytics reports and automated data feeds tailored to departmental and executive management needs., • Run H360 audit reports, including core user security reports., • Ensure the timely generation, accuracy, and secure delivery of reports and dashboards., • Partner with Bank Operations and IT teams to implement, test, and integrate new or upgraded banking solutions, ensuring compatibility and minimal operational disruption., • Evaluate new systems and technologies for alignment with existing infrastructure, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement., • Assist with user provisioning for ImageCentre and H360, • Perform mass maintenance updates through our core system, • Collaborate with Information Technology, Bank Operations, and any third-party vendors to identify and resolve technical or system-related issues efficiently., • Serve as a liaison between business areas and IT to ensure smooth communication, quick issue resolution, and alignment between operational needs and technical capabilities., • Partner with business areas to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting efficiency. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required, • Technical training or equivalent work experience in IT, reporting, or compliance will also be considered, • Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation, CompTIA certifications, or basic Microsoft training (Power BI, Excel, or Azure Fundamentals), • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, reporting, or data operations, ideally within a banking or financial environment, • Familiarity with core banking or enterprise systems (such as FIS, Fiserv, or Jack Henry), • Experience scheduling automated reports or maintaining system automation scripts, • Exposure to user access management, audit support, or IT governance activities, • Comfortable gathering documentation for internal or external audits, • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring daily tasks such as data load checks or system monitoring, • Solid communication skills and ability to work across IT and business departments, • Working knowledge of IT governance and regulatory frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, SOX, FFIEC, and DFS Part 500, • Experience supporting core banking systems (e.g., FIS, H360, ImageCentre) and assisting with user access administration, • Knowledge of audit processes, vendor management, and regulatory documentation for internal and external reviews, • Skilled in data analysis and reporting using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to deliver clear and meaningful insights, • Skilled in application support, change control, and system integration across banking and IT environments Skills and Abilities • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities; able to collaborate effectively with IT, Audit, and Operations teams, • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on maintaining data integrity, compliance, and process efficiency Our Benefits: Health & Wellness Benefits · Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (with HSA, FSA, and Commuter Benefits options) · Company-paid Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) · Company-paid Long-Term Disability Insurance Voluntary Benefits · Additional Life and AD&D Insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents · Voluntary Short-Term Disability Insurance · Pet Insurance · Legal Services Plan · Accident Insurance · Hospital Indemnity Insurance · Cancer Care Insurance Retirement · 401(k) Plan with Company Match Time Off & Recognition · Paid Personal Time Off (PTO) · Paid Company Holidays · Annual Performance Bonuses · Annual Salary Increases Employee Engagement · Company-sponsored Events · Employee Contests and Recognition Programs Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00; placement within this range will vary based on experience and skill level.
