Senior DeltaV Control Systems Engineer Lead Complex Life Sciences Automation Projects Control Associates is seeking an experienced Senior DeltaV Control Systems Engineer to join our elite engineering team. In this role, you'll serve as a technical leader on large-scale control system implementations for premier pharmaceutical and life sciences clients, taking projects from initial proposal through successful commissioning while mentoring the next generation of control systems engineers. Your expertise will directly impact critical manufacturing processes that serve patients worldwide. Your Leadership Impact: • Serve as Project Technical Lead Engineer or Project Engineer for complex DeltaV implementations, • Lead control system project implementation from proposal through startup and commissioning, • Proactively mentor and develop team members, fostering their technical growth and career advancement, • Develop sophisticated control strategies for pharmaceutical and life sciences applications, • Design and configure DeltaV graphics and control system databases, • Review and approve critical project design drawings, • Ensure comprehensive factory acceptance testing meets stringent industry standards, • Collaborate with Project Managers on planning, scheduling, and documentation, • Maintain cutting-edge expertise through continuous DeltaV and control systems training What You'll Bring: • Bachelor of science degree required, majors preferred include chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering,, • 4+ years of industry experience in Pharma/Life Sciences environments, • Extensive DeltaV configuration experience with continuous or batch process control systems, • Experience with PLCs in batch or life sciences applications, • Knowledge of industry standards: ISA S88, GAMP5, and 21CFR11, • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and instrumentation/controls wiring diagrams, • Experience with validation documentation (URS, GDS, DDS, FRS), • Site startup and process equipment support experience, • Database knowledge (SQL, Historians, querying), • Understanding of factory floor communication protocols, • Strong troubleshooting skills for process and process equipment, • Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions How This Role Embodies Our Values: Customer Focus: You'll prioritize client needs by delivering exceptional technical solutions and maintaining strong relationships with pharmaceutical customers throughout the NYC Tri-State region. Base Salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 Excellent benefits, including multiple medical plan choices, vision, and dental insurance with coverage for both employees and dependent family members.
