Job Summaries: Certified Medical Assistants/LVN/RN: Full Time Position; Required Experience (3-5 Years in Medical Setting) Under supervision of the Clinical Coordinator, our Clinical Support team members operate as part of the patient care team performing a variety of functions such as patient triage, immunizations, 1. Perform nursing procedures under supervision of physician or nurse practitioner, 2. Assist physician and nurse practitioner in exam rooms, 3. Escort patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patient’s chart, 4. Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or nurse practitioner, 5. Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment, 6. Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required, 7. Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls, 8. Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants, 9. Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.), 10. All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator Skills Required: 1. Excellent Inter-personal and organizational skills, 2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, and the public., 3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, 4. Fit and measure for braces and orthopedic devices., • Instruct patient and personal representatives regarding medications and treatment instructions and provides patient education in the use of crutches, canes, and other orthopedic devices., • Assist physicians by recording patient progress notes and transcribe orders., • Triage patient telephone calls, answer questions and provide consultation and education to the patient and personal representatives., • Provide monitoring and continuity of care., • Perform independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations. Hospital Assistance • Obtain complete pre-operative medical history and physical data regarding surgery patients., • Acquire proper surgical equipment and hardware needed to perform scheduled surgical procedures., • Assist in surgery, which may include first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances and any other action delegated by the surgeon., • Conduct hospital rounds, evaluate and clarify clinical conditions, formulate and implement a treatment or therapeutic plan for hospitalized patients., • Dictate discharge summaries, histories and physicals., • Maintain a log of all surgical procedures, for documentation and billing purposes., • Take first call for the physician, which may include: deciding to admit, arrange surgical intervention, schedule emergency surgery, radiologic procedures, write orders, permits, and appraisement of the case to the physician., • Make emergency room evaluations and inpatient consultations. Job DescriptionSalary: $34.00 Child and Family Guidance Center is recruiting a psychiatric Assertive Community Treatment Program-Registered Nurse (RN)for our mental health North Texas clinics. This position requires traveling to different North Texas clinics. Responsible for providing medication training to mental health consumers in the Dallas/Collin County areas. Is required to work at different locations in Dallas and surrounding Cities. Provides rehabilitative services designed to assist individuals in achieving an optimal quality of life. The goals of rehabilitation services include increased management of mental health symptoms (symptom management), increased knowledge about medication, improved physical health, decreased psychiatric hospitalizations, and increased community tenure. Duties/Responsibilities: • Medication and psychosocial rehabilitation training delivered to each client during their psychiatric appointment and other clinic visits., • Monitoring patients and communicating with healthcare team about patient progress and issues, medication refillrequests or lab results and reporting lab results to the appropriate parties., • Independently develop and implement rehabilitative services, which are based on patient goals, medical necessity, and clinical judgment., • Monitor and maintain patient medication and appointments spreadsheet., • Tracking basic indicators of physical health such as lab work, weight and blood pressure., • Providing education on diagnosed mental health, medical issues and/or reported physical symptoms., • Administers medication injections for clients of Child and Family Guidance Center when due either in the clinic setting or in the community., • Required to attend ACT daily staffing meetings., • Perform client home visits as necessary., • Complete all required documentation per agency guidelines., • Ability to travel to different clinics throughout the week to assist in medication injections and patient care., • Receive and check in medications received from outside pharmacies., • Perform medical triage of clients when indicated., • Assist and engage patients in navigating clinic and lab appointments, • Works with insurance companies, pharmacies, and/or Patient Assistance Programs to ensure that clients get their medications as prescribed and in a timely manner., • Maintain inventory of medications held at clinic., • Required to participate in on-going staff development., • Will maintain cooperative working relationships with all agency staff and community partners., • Independently develop and implement rehabilitative services, which are based on consumer desires, medical necessity, and clinical judgment., • Provide consultation to vendor agencies with whom our agency contracts, as required., • Maintain client confidentiality., • Maintain case records and reports in accordance with agency procedures and procedures prescribed by contracts with vendor agencies., • Maintain all records in a timely and accurate manner., • Be familiar with the Policies and Procedures manual., • Prepare and present cases for review by supervisor, as required., • Maintain professional certification and/or licensure, when required., • Keep skills updated by utilizing professional literature and training events, when required., • Attend staff and individual meetings as required., • Perform duties without violating any ethical codes, state or federal codes or requirements., • Obey all cities, state or federal laws and rule and regulations., • Provide services according to the efficiency and profitability standards set (Includes a Benchmark expectation)., • Make community aware of services of the agency; serve on task forces as requested., • Other duties as assigned.
