What the job involves: • Drivers are responsible for driving a company CDL vehicle to transport materials from client locations, loading and unloading through a variety of mechanisms using wireless scanning technology, preparing paperwork and performing daily vehicle maintenance to ensure it functions efficiently, • Communicates in a friendly professional manner with clients and co-workers, • Operates and maintains company CDL vehicle safely and efficiently, whether manual or standard transmission, • Handles all physical requirements for loading, transporting and driving without assistance (details below), • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, • Travel is an essential part of this role, with the expectation of long-haul and regional routes as required, • You may be away from home for extended periods, depending on the assigned routes, • Minimum age 21 with a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License and good driving record, • At least one year of route transportation experience preferred, • Pass pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, and DOT physical, • Demonstrate safe, efficient driving skills and maintain all security procedures, • Strong customer service and excellent communication skills, • Carry recycling bins over, up, and down inclines, stairs, ladders, • Lift at least 70 pounds; push/pull bins 25 to 350 pounds, average weight 170 pounds, • Walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time, • A positive and adaptable attitude, • Desire to take ownership over day-to-day responsibilities Established in 2006, Guardian Data Destruction has become the foremost leader in onsite eMedia Data Destruction across North America.
