Job Description CATHOLIC HOUSING AND COMMUNITY SERVICES JOB TITLE: Social Service Coordinator POSITION REPORTS TO: Senior Center Manager/Satellite Coordinator DEPARTMENT: CHCS Senior Centers FLSA STATUS: Exempt Primary Purpose of Job: The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the direct and indirect provision of social services offered at the senior center. Essential Job Functions · Provide comprehensive social services to center participants and consumers living in the community. A law clerk assigned to the MCPT Unit is a key member of the defense team who provides legal representation to indigent individuals accused of crimes in Philadelphia. Law clerks represent Defender clients in various courtrooms and stages of their cases. Law clerks practice in Preliminary Arraignment Court, Bench Warrant Court, Discovery Court, Common Pleas Arraignment and more. Law clerks conduct comprehensive confidential legal interviews at the local prisons, essential to effective client representation, write motions, file investigation requests, social service referrals and more. Job Description Position Summary: First Judicial District Training Navigator is responsible for training staff of the First Judicial District Court of Pennsylvania in behavioral health topics. The BHU is comprised of two programs, Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT) and Police Assisted Diversion (PAD). Navigators help the BHU "navigate" the maze of the court system, treatment programs, and community supports to ensure the individuals the BHU engages with are successfully linked to the appropriate care and services. Navigators also work to reduce the barriers that keep individuals with mental health needs from remaining in the community, getting timely access to treatment, and diversion from incarceration when appropriate.
