Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, processing materials, and ensuring timely shipping and receiving of goods. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities • Receive and audit incoming materials., • Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory., • Process jobs via computer systems., • Manage materials for return to warehouse, supplier, or vendor., • Package, wrap, and crate materials approved for shipping., • Expedite and communicate line down parts to appropriate work centers., • File documentation in accordance with department procedures., • Material handling experience (2+ years preferred)., • Forklift certification preferred., • Shipping experience preferred., • Experience in a high-volume environment., • Ability to lift 35+ pounds., • Proficient computer skills., • Knowledge of ERP systems., • High School Diploma required. Work Environment The work environment includes various shifts such as A1 Shift (6:30 am-7:00 pm, Sun-Tues plus every 2nd Wed), A2 Shift (6:30 pm-7:00 am, Sun night-Tues night plus every 2nd Sat night), and Z2 Shift (6:30 pm-7:00 am, Wed night-Fri plus every 2nd Sat night). The role may require overtime on occasions. Employees are expected to work in a moderate temperature and noise level environment, requiring physical activities such as sitting, walking, stooping, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds. The position is for 12-18 months with the possibility of conversion based on performance and business needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
