This travel nursing job offers competitive pay, professional growth, and the opportunity to work in one of North Carolina's top healthcare facilities.\n \n\nCVOR RN Job Details – Wilmington, NC\n\n • Location: Wilmington, NC 28401 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)\n, • Assignment Type: Travel RN Contract\n, • Start Date: November 24, 2025\n, • End Date: February 23, 2026\n, • Duration: 13 weeks\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,180\n, • Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (06:15 – 16:45)\n, • Hours per Week: 40\n, • Patient Ratio: 1:1 (high-acuity nursing)\n, • Call Requirement: 2 days per week and every third weekend (average 14 call days per 6 weeks)\n, • Float Requirement: May float to main OR on same campus if CVOR volume is low\n, • Weekend Requirement: Call shift every third weekend\n, • Orientation: 24 hours\n, • Scrubs: Provided (blue)\n\n\nCVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience (Cardiovascular Operating Room nursing)\n, • Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State (required at time of start)\n, • BLS certification (required)\n, • ACLS certification (preferred)\n, • Level 1 trauma experience (preferred)\n, • Proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases preferred\n, • Experience with Epic charting system (preferred)\n, • Ability to float to other units as needed\n, • Willingness to work call shifts and participate in Storm/Hurricane Team during catastrophic events\n\n\nCVOR RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, maintaining a 1:1 patient ratio\n, • Assist with cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures, including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, Laser lead extractions, Aortic Root, Carotids, Thoracic cases, Pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella\n, • Utilize Pyxis for medication management and Epic for clinical documentation\n, • Communicate effectively using SBAR methodology\n, • Float to main OR as needed based on census and unit requirements\n, • Participate in call rotation and respond to surgical emergencies as required\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams\n, • Adhere to hospital fatigue policies (no more than 5 days in a row or 60 hours per week)\n We believe in empowering your career.
