Job Description SUMMARY Without the strength of our Shipping and Receiving team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, you will create, implement, and direct the Organization’s procedures and policies in support of the Quality Policy and Customer satisfaction. Supervise the scheduling and production of shipping and receiving to meet or exceed the company’s quality standards. Efficiently manage personnel, equipment, and resources to support first time quality and on time delivery. Support continuous improvement efforts by providing the required training and leadership. The S&R Supervisor must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality2w3 The S&R Supervisor shall contribute to product conformity as apart to their daily job function and shall contribute to product safety. The S&R Supervisor shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Medical, Dental, Vision, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, • Paid Time Off (PTO), • Paid Holidays, • Tuition Reimbursement* DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts., • Maintain a clean and organized work environment., • Responsible for receiving and verifying that material is damage free and counts are correct., • Responsible for verifying that the materials being received meet the requirements of Karman’s Purchase Orders and contain all the required supplier documentation., • Responsible for forwarding receivables to stock or Quality as required., • Responsible for ordering packaging materials for the shipment of product., • Responsible for packaging product for shipping., • Responsible for coordinating shipments with trucking companies or Customer requirements., • Responsible for directing Karman’s truck driver for delivery and or pick up of materials., • Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure., • Any other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be detail oriented, extremely organized, posses excellent communication skills and be able to interact with Customers, Suppliers, Management and staff., • Must have excellent packaging skills., • Must be able to fill out shipping documents., • Must be able to lift 25 lbs, • Must have direct communication with internal customers., • Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements., • Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: • Four (4) year degree or equivalent in work experience., • Adequate years of shipping and receiving experience determined by Karman., • Thorough understanding of packaging and shipping practices ITAR REQUIREMENTS: • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Constant standing/walking/sitting for at least 8 hours., • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 lbs, minimum 35 lbs., • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment., • Clarity of vision at approximately 20 inches or less. Corrective lenses may be worn to fulfill requirements., • Prolonged periods of repetitive movement are required., • Constant holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hand(s)., • Occasional extending of arms to reach overhead, at shoulder level and below shoulder level. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • This position operates in a warehouse/shop/manufacturing environment. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: • No travel is required for this position.
