Job DescriptionJob Title: Machine Operator Job Description This role operates drying machinery in a production environment, handling raw materials, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring products meet defined quality and documentation standards. The Machine Operator prepares and processes batches, performs routine equipment cleaning and light maintenance, and follows Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe, efficient, and compliant production. Responsibilities • Prepare and weigh raw materials and load them into the drying machine, handling individual loads up to approximately 25 pounds., • Monitor the drying machine throughout operation, checking for proper vibration, amperage, and overall status to ensure stable performance., • Scrape powder residue from the machine, load powder, seal drums, and load sealed drums onto pallets, including processing up to four lots per day as needed., • Perform Limit of Detection (LOD) measurements and other routine quality checks to confirm that the product meets established quality specifications., • Wrap finished pallets securely and move them to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment., • Complete all required production documentation accurately, including batch records, logs, and forms in accordance with GMP and SOP requirements., • Clean machinery, used equipment, drums, and floors to maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized production area., • Set up and tear down machines before and after production runs, and perform light maintenance to keep equipment in proper working condition., • Monitor machine cycle time and performance and promptly report any deviations, abnormalities, or mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel., • Use gauges to verify machine settings, and use weight scales and calipers to collect and record product specifications., • Accurately read and follow process procedures and protocols, and record data clearly and legibly., • Follow all safety procedures when working around mechanical and moving parts, including proper lifting techniques and use of equipment., • Perform other production-related duties as needed to support team and operational goals.Essential Skills, • Proven experience as a machine operator or in a similar production role, including hands-on operation of manufacturing equipment., • Experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including strict adherence to documentation and batch recording requirements., • Demonstrated ability to perform machine setup, tear down, and light maintenance on production equipment., • Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions, process procedures, and basic production documentation., • Basic math skills, including the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform division with tens and hundreds for weight, measurement, and volume calculations., • Ability to use gauges to verify machine settings, and to use weight scales and calipers to collect and verify product specifications., • Ability to accurately read process procedures and protocols and to record data clearly and correctly., • Capability to handle physical tasks, including lifting up to approximately 50 pounds according to ability and using team lifts for heavier items., • Comfort working in a production environment with mechanical and moving parts while maintaining a strong focus on safety.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Prior experience working in a cleanroom or controlled production environment., • Background in process, batching, or general production operations., • Familiarity with forklift operation and pallet handling within a production or warehouse setting., • Experience following written SOPs and GMP requirements in a regulated manufacturing environment., • Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation, batch recording, and quality checks., • Ability to work collaboratively in a production team and adapt to changing priorities and workloads.Why Work Here? Work involves regular handling of drums, pallets, and raw materials, as well as operating production equipment and related tools such as gauges, weight scales, and calipers. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, with routine cleaning of machines, equipment, and floors to maintain a safe and orderly workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jurupa Valley, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
