Benefits/Perks • Paid time off, • Health insurance, • Dental insurance, • Retirement benefits, • Employee referral incentives, • Great small business work environment, • Flexible scheduling Responsibilities • Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam, • Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients, • Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner, • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure, • Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing, • Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions, • Respond to all lab messages and call back requests, • Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations, • Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure, • Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis, • Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures, • Maintain complete and accurate documentation Company Overview American Family Care (AFC) is one of the largest primary and urgent care companies in the U.S. providing services seven days a week on a walk-in basis.
