Job Description🏥 Medical & Dental Front Desk Receptionist🦷 We are seeking a friendly, detail‑oriented, and patient‑centered Medical & Dental Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for our busy, growing healthcare practice. In this essential role, you’ll play a major part in shaping every patient’s experience—from the moment they call or walk through our doors to the completion of their visit. What You’ll Do As a vital member of our front office team, you will: • Greet patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism, and a positive attitude, • Answer and manage a high volume of phone calls with exceptional customer service, • Schedule, confirm, cancel, and adjust appointments to support efficient provider workflows, • Accurately enter, update, and manage patient information within EMR and scheduling systems, • Coordinate daily provider schedules to ensure smooth patient flow and minimal wait times, • Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and other medical/dental administrative processes, • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations, • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to address patient needs, • 1–2 years of experience as a medical, dental, or healthcare receptionist, • Experience with EMR systems and appointment scheduling software, • Familiarity with prior authorizations and insurance‑related tasks, • Strong data entry, organizational, and multitasking skills, • Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast‑paced environment, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Commitment to patient privacy, accuracy, and professionalism, • Previous experience in a dental or multi‑specialty medical office, • Strong attention to detail and adaptability with changing schedules, • Self‑motivated team player with a positive, patient‑first mindset, • Comfortable using office technology and healthcare software Office Hours: • Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., • Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
