Friendly, warm and gracious, this role is the liaison between the culinary team and the guest, and makes sure all guest expectations are exceeded, while ensuring the Hotel's high quality standards are met. • Greets all guests in a friendly manner., • Presents menus to the guest, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service., • Recites order back to the guest and ask questions regarding guests preference of preparation in order to ensure guest satisfaction., • Follow all safety, hygiene and cleanliness protocols at all times., • Writes order on check or memorizes it., • Enters orders into the Point of Sale system., • Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars., • Recites specials of the day clearly and concisely, describing their preparation., • Regularly monitors station to ensure all guest needs are met., • Observes his/her stations to respond to any additional requests and to determine when the meal has been completed., • Totals bill and accept payment and makes change for the guest if necessary., • Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions desserts, brews coffee, etc. according to Hotel standards., • Totals all receipts at the end of the shift, balances all cash and submits cash drop with all required paperwork.
