As the point of reference of workers, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. Work Schedule - This position will require frequent work on Saturday's. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead daily and weekly crew meetings, and ensure crew members follow all policies, • Understand plans and specifications for each project, • Supervise crew of craft workers including Concrete Finishers and Team Members, • Supervise and assist crew with the installation of waterproofing and concrete, • Work closely with the scheduler to plan the week’s work for crew and supply needs, • Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans, • Monitor attendance of assigned crew, • Allocate general and daily responsibilities, • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate, • Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met, • Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, • Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget, • Resolve problems when they arise, • Report on progress to Project Manager KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES • Ability to travel to job sites, attend meetings and functions outside of typical business hours, • Self-starter with ability to set goals and tasks, • Strong leadership skills, • Ability to build strong relationships, • Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities, • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines, • Understanding of all field equipment and systems, • Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints, • Ability to communicate effectively, • Aptitude in math, • Problem-solving abilities, • Strong work ethic and desire to perform quality work, • Endurance to spend hours working in extreme weather conditions such as heat or cold COMPETENCIES • Accountability: Responsible and answerable for actions and performance individually or on a team., • Teamwork: The ability to promote positive work relationships with area staff, team members, and supervisors. The ability to use approaches, skills or tool to find creative and respectful ways to manage disagreements., • Delegation: Encouraging employees to use their talents to achieve company goals while granting them autonomy to make decisions and fostering independent thinking., • Decision-Making/Judgment: Ability to make prudent decisions that are timely, well researched, and reflect awareness and impact., • Job Knowledge: The level of knowledge, skills and education required for job functions, and their application, along with a commitment to continuous improvement EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelors Degree in Construction or related field and 2 years of Construction Experience, • Foreman or Leadman Experience (Strongly Preferred), • Bilingual: Spanish (Strongly Preferred), • Must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS • Climb, crawl, and walk while carrying or operating machinery and tools upstairs, downstairs, and over potentially uneven surfaces., • Lift, pull, push, and carry 80 lbs. of weight intermittently., • Ability to identify safety hazards and communicate effectively with others., • Sustain the stamina to perform manual labor outdoors, exposed to the elements, vibrations, loud noises, offensive smells, dust, dirt, and water in all seasons, including extreme temperatures., • Safely perform work on balconies and other elevated areas with appropriate safety gear., • Distinguish between different colors., • Bend, squat, twist, and reach in various positions as the situation dictates., • Overnight travel may be required within 4-5 hours of the main office location.
