Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description Join our team as a Building and Maintenance Technician, specializing in crane maintenance for an industrial steel galvanizing company. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing metal manufacturing machines, as well as addressing minor repairs throughout the facility. This role involves ensuring the proper functionality of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. Responsibilities • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair metal manufacturing machines., • Address minor repairs throughout the facility, such as patching, painting, and replacing hardware., • Identify and resolve issues with building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems., • Perform tasks like lubricating parts, inspecting components, and ensuring proper functionality., • Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems., • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and other electrical components., • Utilize computerized diagnostic tools to assess crane condition and identify problems., • Replace worn or damaged parts, perform necessary repairs, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently., • Maintain detailed logs of maintenance and repair work., • Adhere to strict safety protocols and ensure all work is performed safely.Essential Skills, • Experience in maintenance repair, especially in industrial maintenance., • Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems., • Knowledge of motors, electrical wiring, chains, sprockets, lubrication, conveyors, and crane maintenance., • Experience with HVAC systems., • Ability to perform welding and maintenance repair., • Understanding of wastewater systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • 3-month training on 1st shift (5:00am-1:30pm), transitioning to 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:00pm).Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Carson, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
