Attend MICE trade shows and industry events as required and file the sales trip report on return. Responsible for producing weekly and monthly booking reports for G&E revenue. Lead and train the Group & Events reactive team, for them to efficiently look after the planning once contracts are signed. Proactively communicate with the DOS and DOSM in terms of group pace, pick-up, and conversion, highlighting issues and opportunities where necessary taking full accountability for the business and pipeline lifecycle. Maintain good, positive, collaborative relationships with other departments across the hotel including Front of House, F&B, and Finance. Host pre-event meetings with clients and F&B team to introduce the operations team and coordinate last minute details. Proactively follow up with clients post event for feedback. Manage multiple platforms, including Delphi. Perform any additional tasks given by Director of Sales or Director of Sales & Marketing. Qualifications To execute the position of Groups & Events Manager, you must have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and including the following: Possess a minimum of 5 years total experience in hospitality or hotels sales setting, with direct supervisory experience over a events team. High degree of professionalism with strong understanding of global markets and business. Fluent in English and good at Spanish. Valid Spanish Work permit or European Union citizenship is required for this role. Strong organizational skills including follow up and time management.
