People Partner of the People Area for the Pasqual Maragall Foundation The Pasqual Maragall Foundation was established in 2008 with the mission of promoting and developing cutting‑edge biomedical research. The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is a young, well‑established, and growing organization, which, together with the BBRC, currently employs more than 250 people. The Foundation’s team includes cross‑functional management areas such as IT, finance, human resources, communications, social outreach, and fundraising, while the BBRC’s scientific team comprises researchers and professionals in medicine, biology, psychology, nursing, and other fields. Position Description The Pasqual Maragall Foundation is looking for a People Partner for the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC), who will join the People Area, reporting to the People Area Director, as a reference in people management for the BBRC teams. The mission of the People Partner is to lead, coordinate and promote, together with the People Area Management, the key people management processes and projects in the BBRC areas, fostering talent development. Main responsibilities Lead, together with the People Area Management, the design, development and implementation of people management policies with a cross‑cutting impact, ensuring their alignment with the organizational strategy and culture of the BBRC. Act as a reference for the assigned areas of the BBRC to ensure compliance with the processes of the People Area. Promote and adapt the implementation of talent attraction and retention projects in the assigned areas. Proactively participate in defining strategic priorities, proposing improvement actions, leading their implementation and monitoring. Proactively plan staffing processes, cover future vacancies, and establish career and professional development plans in assigned areas. Participate with the People Area Management in the application, review, monitoring and improvement of the remuneration policy and the development plan, ensuring consistency with the professional classification, career evolution and recognition, with criteria of internal equity, transparency and competitiveness. To support teams in change processes and to energize spaces for participation that promote a healthy and committed work environment. Identify, define and analyze indicators and KPIs related to the assigned area (turnover, satisfaction, number of candidates per selection process, etc.). Participate in cross‑functional people management projects and act as a reference People Partner both in the BBRC and, when necessary, in other areas of the organization. Coordination with the rest of the Area Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of people management processes (onboarding, registrations and terminations, hiring, etc.) in collaboration with specialists in the area, adapting them to the needs of the assigned areas. Attend to, respond to or refer inquiries or incidents from the assigned areas (payroll, contracts, new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, sick leave, schedules, calendar, holidays, etc.). Act as a reference and facilitator with the teams and the People Area, promoting consistency, quality and continuous improvement in the experience of recruitment, integration and management of the professional life cycle. Talent selection, attraction and retention Design the necessary profiles with the Functional Managers and the People Management and plan the incorporation of talent in the assigned areas. Coordinate and support the selection, incorporation, welcome, induction and onboarding processes, ensuring a positive, equitable experience aligned with the Foundation’s values. Actively participate in interviews, internal promotion processes, and strategic hiring decisions in coordination with the Human Resources Department. Ensuring talent retention by identifying potential situations of dissatisfaction or risk and promoting loyalty initiatives. Analyze data and indicators related to attraction and retention (post‑onboarding satisfaction, early turnover, etc.) and propose continuous improvement actions. Training and development Identify training, learning and skills development needs in the assigned areas. Participate in cross‑functional people development projects with the People Department and other areas. Lead and coordinate the development assessment process in the assigned areas, ensuring its alignment with the competency model and the BBRC’s strategic objectives. Analyze development assessment results to identify areas for improvement, professional growth opportunities, and individual or collective training needs. To monitor the resulting development plans and provide a cross‑cutting perspective for talent decision‑making. Co‑designing specific career itineraries for the different BBRC teams, ensuring their alignment with strategic objectives. Organization, positions, professional evaluation and classification, and compensation Design and update job descriptions for the assigned area, ensuring their alignment with organizational evolution and strategic needs. Lead the job evaluation and professional classification (group and level assignment), ensuring transparency, fairness and internal consistency, in line with the Foundation’s remuneration policy. Identify and update the career development stages of the staff in the assigned area, coordinating with the Talent Management Committee and applying the mechanisms for evolution and compensation changes. Participate in the Talent Management Committee, providing data, context and criteria for decisions on development, projection and classification of profiles. Internal relations and communication Promote, coordinate or participate in the communication of cross‑cutting people management projects, both in the assigned area and in the organization. Act as a strategic representative of the People Area and connect with assigned areas of the BBRC, identifying emerging needs and opportunities for improvement. To detect and channel initiatives, concerns or proposals from staff to improve the work environment and the culture of well‑being. To promote and ensure fluid, transparent and bidirectional communication with all professionals of the Foundation and BBRC. Participate in committees, task forces and work teams related to communication and transmission of the mission and people management. Coordinate actions with the Internal Communications team for the creation and dissemination of content (newsletters, brochures, emails, etc.). Design and facilitate information sessions, dialogue spaces and meetings with staff from assigned areas to communicate results, decisions and improvements, as well as to gather concerns and proposals. Required training and experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Law, or other Humanities degrees. Master’s or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources. Experience and knowledge: Personnel selection, talent management, mastery of assessment tools and techniques, training and development of people, automation of HR processes. Knowledge of compensation, remuneration and benefits, organizational structure, and labor relations. Previous experience of more than 3 years in healthcare and/or research centers will be valued.
