A private household is seeking an experienced and meticulous Private Laundress to join a luxury villa in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Alpes-Maritimes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the professional care and maintenance of household linens, clothing, and delicate fabrics, ensuring the highest standards of laundry, ironing, pressing, and garment care. Key Responsibilities: • Washing, drying, pressing, folding, and organising clothing, linens, and household textiles according to care instructions., • Hand-washing and caring for delicate fabrics, including silk, cashmere, and linen., • Handling stain removal using appropriate professional techniques., • Caring for designer and couture clothing to the highest standards., • Carrying out minor clothing repairs, such as replacing buttons and simple hems., • Maintaining laundry and ironing equipment in excellent working condition., • Managing laundry supplies and ensuring high-quality products are used., • Supporting luxury garment storage and, when required, packing clothing for travel., • Coordinating effectively with other household staff to ensure smooth daily operations., • Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times. Requirements: • Proven experience as a private laundress, preferably within a luxury private household, hotel, or high-end hospitality environment., • Excellent knowledge of fine fabrics, stain removal, laundry care, ironing, and professional pressing., • Experience handling designer, couture, and other high-value garments is highly desirable., • Strong organisational and time-management skills., • Ability to work independently and maintain meticulous attention to detail., • Professional, discreet, reliable, and trustworthy., • Flexibility regarding working hours when required., • Candidates must have a registered address in the Alpes-Maritimes (Department 06). Preferred: • Formal training or certification in textile care or garment maintenance., • Experience with luxury wardrobe management and travel packing. Location: Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, Alpes-Maritimes, France Position: Private Laundress (Live-Out) Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week / approximately 177 hours per month Salary: €3,000 per month
