Experienced / Trainee Commercial & Industrial Electrical Tutor Location: Norwich Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per annum (DOE) Type: Full-time, permanent Hours: Mon–Fri, 08:30–16:30 (40 hrs/week) About Our Client Our client is a fast-growing engineering training provider delivering commercial and industrial electrical courses in a unique, high-quality learning environment. Their Norwich campus offers excellent transport links and state-of-the-art facilities at the city centre site Role Overview They are seeking either an experienced Electrical Tutor or Commercial/Industrial Electricians keen to transition into teaching—to join their team. You’ll plan and deliver both theory and practical sessions, coach apprentices through hands-on tasks, and help them achieve industry-standard competencies. Key Responsibilities • Demonstrate electrical installation, automation and fault-finding techniques, • Teach safe tool and equipment operation, • Plan and deliver practical workshops and classroom theory lessons, • Provide constructive feedback and support to apprentices, • Enforce Health & Safety regulations and promote best-practice procedures, • Prepare high-quality lesson plans, learning materials and assessment records, • Adhere to all centre policies and procedures Qualifications & Experience • Proven electrical experience in a commercial/industrial environment, • Strong grasp of electrical theory, installation, automation and fault-finding, • Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent), • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, • Full, clean UK driving licence Desirable: • Teaching qualification or assessor training (in-house support provided), • Prior experience in apprenticeship delivery or vocational education Personal Attributes • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and supportive, • Excellent planner with strong organisational skills, • Able to work collaboratively and adapt to feedback, • Committed to learner success and continuous improvement What’s on Offer • Competitive salary: £28k–£38k pa, • 20 days holiday + bank holidays, • Company pension and benefits package, • Ongoing CPD and professional development, • A supportive, family-focused culture with genuine work–life balance, • Modern facilities and a friendly, professional team
