For more information about the Club, please visit their website. Role purpose and scope: The Sales & Events Manager will drive sales through true member and wider engagement. The role will oversee all sales and event operations, driving sales and delivering successful, high-yield events at the Club ensuring that Members, Corporate Golf Days, Visitors and third parties are appropriately informed and always receive excellent customer service. The role is responsible for driving sales through efficient practices, robust processes across functions, green fees, and membership. The role involves managing a range of general office duties, including day-to-day member interactions and needs, diary and booking management, and, importantly, a robust CRM system. Responsibilities: • To develop and motivate the Membership and Events Team to achieve monthly and personal objectives, while supporting the team with their personal development in line with business goals. - Managing the sales process across all membership, corporate golf, meeting, and event enquiries via a robust CRM and any other reporting system necessary. - Managing the induction process to ensure all new members have the necessary information. - Manage the team in line with department and personal objectives and KPIs. - Implementation of a CRM software/process to ensure trackable metrics to track sales performance. - Manage all event information processes to ensure all departments receive the information they need. - Work with the General Committee and Handicap & Competitions Committee when needed. - Deliver the Club diary, Membership engagement program, and a comprehensive social calendar with appropriate marketing to support all areas of the club. - Leading the team through our club values and behaviours to help empower and manage the team efficiently. - Creation of weekly membership and events reports, as well as Board Reports. Sales & Commercial Skills: - Revenue generation & target management - Lead generation & conversion - Upselling & cross-selling - Pricing & package development aligned with seasonal demand - Contract negotiation and closing - Operational coordination with golf, F&B, kitchens, greens, and front-of-house - Event scheduling & logistics - Post-event review, client follow-up & rebooking Customer & Relationship Skills: - Exceptional client service for high-value and repeat customers - Member engagement and understanding of club culture - Stakeholder management (suppliers, sponsors, partners) - Professional presentation & communication Event promotion (open days, showcases, corporate networking): - CRM & enquiry management - Collaboration with marketing on website listings, brochures, socials - Brand guardianship for a premium club experience Operational & Admin Skills: - Budgeting & forecasting - Reporting on sales performance - Compliance awareness (licensing, health & safety, GDPR) - Systems proficiency (events software, CRM, POS, MS Office) Relevant Experience: - Hospitality, leisure, golf clubs, hotels, or wedding venues - 35+ years in sales, events, or hospitality management - Experience managing high-value events - Proven success in hitting monthly and annual revenue targets Golf-Club-Specific Experience (Highly Valuable): - Managing corporate golf days & societies - Understanding tee sheet/yield management and course operations - Working with members alongside non-member events - Knowledge of golf etiquette and club expectations - Passion or keen interest in golf Remuneration: A highly attractive remuneration package is available commensurate with the role and a golf club of this prestige and profile.
