Advanced Practitioner – Children’s Services UK | £37 per hour | ⏱️ Ongoing Contract Ready to step into a senior frontline role where you can lead on complex cases and influence practice? We’re recruiting experienced Advanced Practitioners to join a busy but supportive Children’s Services team, working across the full safeguarding journey — from assessment through to permanence. Why this role stands out £37 per hour – strong rate for advanced-level role Ongoing contract with excellent extension potential Immediate / quick start available Supportive team with a strong learning culture Opportunity to lead practice without line management responsibility The Role As an Advanced Practitioner, you’ll manage a complex and varied caseload covering the full spectrum of statutory work: • Child & Family Assessments, • Child in Need (CIN), • Child Protection (CP), • Care Proceedings through to permanence You’ll act as a lead worker on more complex cases, supporting best practice across the team while continuing to deliver high-quality direct work. Key Responsibilities • Manage a caseload across assessment, safeguarding, and court work, • Lead on complex cases, working alongside other Social Workers, • Undertake high-quality assessments and care planning, • Practice using a restorative, relationship-based approach, • Engage directly with children using child-centred practice, • Promote family-led decision making to reduce risk and improve outcomes, • Produce clear, analytical, and high-standard written work, • Work collaboratively within a busy, supportive team environment, • Contribute to team learning and development culture ✅ What we’re looking for • Qualified Social Worker, • Significant experience within Children’s Safeguarding teams, • Strong background across CIN, CP, and court work, • Confident managing complex cases as lead practitioner, • Excellent analytical and assessment skills, • High standard of report writing and case recording, • Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment, • Strong relationship-building skills with children and families Why candidates apply to roles like this This is ideal for Social Workers who: • Want to step up into advanced practice without moving into management, • Enjoy complex, meaningful casework, • Are passionate about relationship-based and restorative practice, • Want a well-paid contract with real influence on outcomes Interested?
