\n Finance Shared Services Manager - Interim \n Blackburn (Hybrid - up to 3 days in the office per week) \n Excellent day rate depending on experience. \n Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership? We're looking for a Finance Shared Services Manager to lead the delivery of high-performing finance operations in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. \n Based in Blackburn, this interim role offers hybrid working and flexible hours, giving you the autonomy to work in a way that suits your lifestyle while making a measurable impact on our business. \n Key Responsibilities: \n\n • Lead the end-to-end delivery of core finance services including Accounts Payable, Credit Control & Billing, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.\n, • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with statutory and internal deadlines.\n, • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and audit requirements.\n, • Use financial data and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.\n, • Lead on system optimisation and automation within finance operations (e.g. ERP enhancements, workflow tools).\n, • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, Procurement, etc.) to ensure seamless service integration across the business.\n, • Develop and manage KPIs/SLAs for service delivery and ensure a strong customer service ethos across the team.\n, • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of underlying data.\n\n \n Key Skills & Experience: \n\n • Proven experience in a shared services or finance operations leadership role.\n, • Strong technical knowledge of core finance functions\n, • Experience managing all transactional operational processes, month-end processes, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.\n, • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and confident with financial reporting tools and Excel.\n, • Track record of driving process improvements and implementing digital tools to enhance finance operations.\n, • Excellent leadership and team development skills.\n, • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.\n\n What's On Offer: \n\n • Hybrid working - up to 3 days in the office per week.\n, • A collaborative, forward-thinking environment with genuine career development.\n, • Competitive salary and benefits package, including pension and generous annual leave.\n, • Opportunities to influence the transformation of the shared services function.\n\n \n Interested in shaping the future of shared services in a modern, agile environment? \n \n At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
