The Role The Assistant Property Accountant will support the Management Accountant in day-to-day financial operations by maintaining accurate records, raising charges, allocating cash, processing payments, completing bank reconciliations, and delivering month-end and year-end reporting in line with internal controls and financial policy. Key Responsibilities The remit of the Assistant Property Accountant will include the following, but as a business we are about mucking in, pushing forward and making great things happen, although this list of responsibilities should give you a great idea of the opportunity. • Assist the team in setting up and maintaining financial information on the Qube database., • Raising of rent, service charge and other ad hoc charges to customer, • Cash allocation of all receipts and ensuring funds are in the correct bank account, • Producing all debtor reports and assisting with credit control, • Reviewing Purchase invoices in Dwellant to ensure they have been processed correctly, • Processing payment runs on our online banking system, • Bank reconciliations, • Month end duties - including closing off periods, fund reconciliations and reporting., • Producing and presenting Budget v Actual reports and other reporting documents to stakeholders and calculating the void position., • Liaising with the Found Team to deal with queries, • Assist in the production of year end reconciliations, including calculation of Prepayments and accruals., • Assisting in the year end process with auditors and ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner to ensure Tenant certificates and balancing charges/credits can be issued., • Assisting the operational team with budget preparation, • Managing entire Investor portfolio; including remitting rent funds to owner and monthly reporting, • Review and maintain the integrity of key internal control systems and processes including approval systems and spreadsheets., • Adhere to the company's or organisation’s financial policies and procedures., • Deal with queries and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed.
