Content & Demand Generation Lead Job title: Content & Demand Generation Lead Location: Remote-first (UK, Midlands / North England preferred) – travel to Manchester office occasionally Salary - £35,000 – £40,000 base Team size 15 (company-wide) About Brightbox Brightbox is a global provider of on-demand technology skills. We help organisations move faster, reduce delivery risk and operate more efficiently by connecting them with pre-vetted digital, data, cloud and AI specialists through our Liquid Workforce Operating Model. Founded by former Accenture technology consultants, we work with premium technology consultancies, enterprises and scale-ups including CGI, Atos, Regatta and BP. We are a founder-led business of 15 people, profitable and growing year-on-year, operating lean with cutting-edge data enrichment, outbound tooling and an in-house development team building AI agents to drive growth and service delivery. We are now at an inflection point. Our outbound engine, messaging, brand identity and strategic narrative are established. We need someone to own the content operating function and build the inbound lead generation engine that will accelerate our next phase of growth. You will be building the content and demand generation system that accelerates pipeline velocity, shortens deal cycles and creates a compounding source of qualified opportunities. Why this role is different This is not a traditional content marketing role. It is a growth role that uses content as its primary GTM lever. Most content hires are given a brief and a brand guide and asked to produce. This role hands you a commercial target and asks you to build the system that hits it. You will be measured on pipeline contribution, not publishing cadence. We have already done the hard strategic groundwork: our ICP is defined, our service-market fit is proven, our strategic narrative is sharp, and our brand has just been through a full refresh. We have an initial library of whitepapers, webinars and articles. Our outbound lead generation is working. What we have not yet built is the inbound content engine that turns brand awareness into a self-sustaining pipeline of qualified leads. That is your job to create. You will not be buried in a marketing department or fighting for budget sign-off. You will report directly to the Head of Growth, work closely with the founder, and have genuine ownership of a function that is central to the company’s growth trajectory. The decisions you make will directly shape how Brightbox shows up in the market and how fast we grow. You will also have access to an in-house software development team building custom AI agents, workflows and automation for the business. If you can imagine a better way to produce, distribute or measure content, we may be able to build the tooling to make it happen. This is a company that treats technology as a growth multiplier. What you will own: Demand generation & pipeline acceleration • Build and own the inbound lead generation operating system, from content creation through to MQL conversion, with a clear line of sight to revenue, • Develop content-led campaigns that drive qualified traffic, capture leads and nurture prospects through the funnel; not just awareness, but conversion, • Create sales enablement content (case studies, one-pagers, objection-handling material) that directly supports outbound sequences and deal progression, • Collaborate with the Head of Growth to align content output with outbound campaigns, ensuring content is a force multiplier for Clay, Smartlead and HeyReach activity across UK and US segments, • Define and execute the content strategy across all formats: articles, whitepapers, case studies, social media, newsletters, webinars and video, • Own the content calendar, with weighting toward demand generation and pipeline acceleration over brand awareness, • Write high-quality, insight-led content that resonates with CTOs, VPs Engineering and technology leaders in consultancies, enterprises and SaaS businesses, • Develop and sharpen Brightbox’s point of view on the future of technology resourcing, the Liquid Workforce and the impact of AI on workforce strategy, • Unlock and build the CEO’s personal brand on LinkedIn as a strategic growth channel - ghostwriting, content planning and engagement, • Support the Head of Growth and other team members with personal brand content to amplify reach across networks and into target segments, • Source and manage PR opportunities, speaking slots, guest articles and industry commentary, • Build client case studies and success stories that demonstrate measurable business impact and serve as closing content Distribution & channel growth • Own content distribution across LinkedIn, email, website and emerging channels, ensuring every piece of content has a distribution plan, not just a publish date, • Design the lead capture and nurture layer on the Brightbox website: SEO/GEO strategy, content hub, landing pages and conversion paths, • Test and scale new distribution channels (X, Reddit, YouTube, external communities) with a data-informed, experimental approach, • Design the content production workflow end-to-end: ideation, creation, distribution, repurposing and performance analysis, • Work with the in-house development team to build AI-powered content workflows and automation that increase output without sacrificing quality, • Create visual assets (social graphics, whitepaper covers, article imagery) using brand guidelines. You do not need to be a designer, but you should be confident creating clean, on-brand visuals Experience & background • You have built a content-to-pipeline system that has driven measurable inbound lead generation, not just traffic or engagement, but qualified pipeline and revenue. You can show the numbers, • You have worked in a start-up or scale-up without established processes and have launched the content function, built the system and delivered commercial results from scratch, • You have experience in technology consulting, professional services, B2B technology or a related sector where the audience is senior, educated and commercially sophisticated, • You are an excellent writer. You can produce long-form thought leadership, sharp social copy and compelling case studies without relying on freelancers or agencies, • You have managed content distribution across LinkedIn, email marketing, newsletters and owned channels, and understand what drives conversion (not just engagement) in B2B professional services, • You are entrepreneurial. You do not wait for a brief. You identify the commercial opportunity, create the content, distribute it and measure the pipeline impact, • You think like a growth marketer, not a content marketer. Every piece of content exists to move a prospect closer to a conversation, • You are comfortable working autonomously with minimal management. You are self-directed, proactive and hold yourself accountable to outcomes, not activity, • You actively explore new ways of working. You are already using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, or similar) in your content workflow and you are excited about pushing that further, • You are commercially minded. You think about content in terms of its contribution to revenue, not vanity metrics. If asked about your best work, you talk about pipeline generated, not impressions, • Strong copywriting across multiple formats and tones: thought leadership, social, email, long-form, short-form, sales enablement, • Confident creating basic visual assets using tools such as Canva, Figma or similar, adhering to brand guidelines, • Experience with content management and marketing automation platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Webflow or equivalent), • Comfortable with data: you can interpret content performance metrics, attribute pipeline to content and translate insights into actionable decisions Location: This is a remote-first role.
