The Recipe As our sites go-to automation and controls expert, youll: Own the Control Systems : Maintain and improve all software, hardware infrastructure, and plant control systems. Support and Upskill : Empower the wider engineering team with PLC training and technical support. The Role Safety - Adherence to relevant safety standard across all activities (including external contractors). Ensure plant controls are safe to operate, maintain and personnel conform to health & safety legislation, policies and standards. Through effective software and hardware management processes, supports and manages site implementation of a Business led engineering reliability strategy. Support the development of site revenue and capital budgets, whilst identifying and leading the execution of relevant capital projects. Drive a proactive Engineering Continuous Improvement culture cross-functionally. Through contributing to the improvement and development of manufacturing hardware & software activities Training and coaching of Engineers to an agreed working knowledge in PLC / control systems to ensure they have the required competency and capability to support bakery performance Compliance with quality and food safety legislation, company standards and specifications in order to meet the requirements of professional and legal standards. Ensure supplier contract content & supplier relationship is maintained, and supplier effectiveness is reviewed. Essential Ingredients Youll have a strong drive to identify opportunities for equipment improvement using plant-based automation and related solutions to help improve efficiency and performance. Formal electrical automation training with an awareness of process and mechanical engineering. Experience in fault finding and maintaining existing control systems, preferably with Siemens, Schneider or Allen Bradley Experience of software development and common programming languages Knowledge of communication protocols and control networks Knowledge and experience of project implementation preferably in a manufacturing environment Knowledge and experience of safety related parts of control systems Health &Safety systems & legislation knowledge e.g. PUWER, IOSH able to ensure a safe working environment. Recycler HGV Driver Wellington, Somerset Full time/permeant Competitive salary plus enhanced overtime and benefits We are looking for a skilled HGV Recycler Driver to join our team, operating specialist vehicles to support essential wastewater and recycling services while ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards of delivery. More about the role: Work independently and in teams across Wastewater and Water Treatment Works, supporting various infrastructure projects. Carry out tasks such as sewer cleans, wet well maintenance, siphon works, and other wastewater asset operations. Follow all health and safety requirements, including RAMS documentation, with full responsibility for compliance. Undertake manual handling duties, including carrying suction hoses and removing debris. Operate company vehicles (HGV/ADR where qualified), ensuring all checks are completed and regulations followed. Maintain vehicles, equipment, and PPE to required standards, reporting defects promptly. Participate in the on-call rota, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, on a fair rotational basis. Liaise with customers on site to provide updates and discuss ongoing works. Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including vehicle checks, job tickets, and timesheets. Undertake all relevant training for the role, such as CSCS and Confined Space certification. About you: Must possess a relative licence categories (clean & valid) to operate and control HGVs and vans. Valid CPC card. Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers. A knowledge of the waste water industry is desirable. At least 2 years driving experience of a HGV is preferable. Flexibility towards hours and understanding of the reactive nature to the utilities industry. Ability to be a team player with a flexible approach to work at night /weekend work if necessary. Ability to work under pressure and use their own initiative. Comfortable working with raw sewage. Full clean UK driving licence. Proof of Right to work in the UK.
