Company – Landscaping Construction Company Job Title – HR Manager Location – Dartford Salary - Negotiable We have a new opportunity for a highly experienced and strategically minded Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee all HR functions across the organisation. This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a practitioner who can operate both at a strategic level and with hands-on operational effectiveness. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping our people strategy, embedding a high-performance culture, and ensuring full compliance with employment legislation and best practice. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes including job scoping, vacancy advertising, structured interviewing, and seamless onboarding of new employees., • Assess and forecast workforce planning requirements aligned with the organisation’s operational and strategic objectives. Employee Relations & Engagement • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, handling issues with professionalism, impartiality, and in accordance with employment law., • Support and advise line managers on performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling., • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture through targeted engagement initiatives. HR Policy, Compliance & Governance • Develop, implement, and continuously review HR policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with UK employment law and organisational standards., • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting frameworks, and documentation in line with GDPR and data protection requirements., • Ensure all compensation, benefits, health & safety, and promotion structures are equitable, legally compliant, and competitively positioned. Learning, Development & Organisational Effectiveness • Design and coordinate training and development programmes that align with business needs and support employee career progression., • Review organisational structures, reporting lines, and operational procedures, recommending improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency., • Partner with senior leadership to define and deliver the organisation’s people strategy and HR transformation agenda. PERSON SPECIFICATION Essential Requirements • A minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in a Human Resources Management or Senior HR Business Partner role., • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law, ACAS codes of practice, and HR best practice frameworks., • Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, talent management, performance management, and employee engagement., • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation., • Exceptional organisational skills and a high degree of professional discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS/HR management software platforms., • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional qualification). Desirable Attributes • Relevant qualification (or working towards)., • Demonstrable experience in HR policy development, organisational design, and change management., • Strong negotiation, mediation, and conflict-resolution capabilities., • Prior exposure to facilities management, security services, or a similarly regulated sector is an advantage
