We are looking for an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at Courtley Health & Safety based in Liverpool. This is a hands-on role supporting our Members with practical, site-based and administrative health and safety guidance. The ideal candidate will already have experience in a health and safety role, be confident working on site across the region, and be keen to continue developing their professional knowledge and qualifications. The Role You will provide practical support to our Members, including, but not limited to: • Developing and revising Health & Safety policies, safe systems of work and working procedures., • Carrying out site audits, producing clear reports, and monitoring the closure of actions., • Preparing written risk assessments and method statements., • Investigating accidents and incidents and producing factual, structured reports., • Delivering Health & Safety coaching and supporting the development and delivery of our suite of in-house training., • Supporting the development and implementation of key Health & Safety initiatives., • Maintaining your own CPD and keeping up to date with relevant legislation, guidance and best practice. A full driving licence is essential, as the role includes regular travel to client sites. The Person We are looking for someone who brings both competence and the right attitude, including: Knowledge & Experience • Proven experience in a Health & Safety role., • A relevant Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate) (advantageous)., • Strong IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint., • Understanding of risk assessment, auditing and incident investigation. Skills & Attributes • Confident communicator able to engage with clients, contractors and colleagues at all levels., • Willingness to learn, develop and adapt., • Strong attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset., • Reliable and organised, with a good sense of prioritisation and time management., • Comfortable working on-site in varied environments., • Able to build and maintain positive client relationships. Qualifications (Desirable) • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ equivalent., • Membership of IOSH (or working towards)., • Other relevant professional memberships.
