Science Teacher – Full Time (Long‑Term) Location: Bury Start Date: Easter 2026 Contract Type: Long‑term, full‑time until Easter 2027 Pay: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS) A well‑established secondary school in Bury is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join the department on a long‑term, full‑time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated educator who can deliver high‑quality teaching across KS3 and KS4, contribute to a supportive department, and help maintain strong pupil progress throughout the academic year. The Role Full‑time teaching timetable with responsibility for planning, delivering and assessing Science lessons. Teaching across KS3 and KS4, with the ability to specialise in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. Supporting the department in raising attainment and engaging learners of all abilities. Participating in staff meetings, intervention sessions and wider school activities. Requirements Must hold UK QTS specialising in Science. Strong subject knowledge and a track record of delivering effective lessons. Confident in behaviour management and able to build positive relationships with students. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. Ability to work collaboratively within a well‑resourced Science department.
