We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our leading earthworks team in Aylesbury, part of the HS2 initiative. What You’ll Be Doing: • Leading site surveys using GNSS and setting out for earthworks (batter rails, travellers)., • Reviewing 3D machine control models and advising on optimal construction methods., • Preparing RAMS, QA documentation (ITPs, checklists), and ensuring readiness before work begins., • Conducting soil quality assessments and advising on material suitability., • Supporting short- and long-term planning, including mass-haul and constructability reviews., • Mentoring junior engineers and fostering their professional development. What We’re Looking For: • Civil engineering experience, ideally in earthworks., • Full UK driving licence., • ICE membership (or working towards IEng status)., • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship available for exceptional candidates)., • Strong skills in surveying, QA, and construction methodologies. Desirable Extras: • A/B grades in Maths, Further Maths, or Physics A-Level (or equivalent)., • Experience with earthmoving contractors., • ICE IEng or CEng accreditation.

We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the delivery of world-class engineering solutions. What You’ll Be Doing: • Conducting GNSS-based site surveys and setting out earthworks using batter rails, travellers, and visualisation stakeouts., • Reviewing and validating 3D machine control models for automated earthmoving equipment., • Interpreting drawings, specifications, and works information to determine optimal construction methods with the Foreman., • Preparing and maintaining essential project documentation: Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Checklists., • Managing QA processes and ensuring all checks are completed before work begins., • Performing spot soil quality checks, including plasticity and moisture content testing., • Supporting near-term rolling-wave planning to maintain project efficiency., • Identifying and reporting contractual events to the Commercial Team., • Accurately documenting verbal instructions with supporting sketches and details. What We’re Looking For: • Proven experience in earthworks or civil engineering with a track record of delivering results., • Strong academic foundation, including a minimum B grade in GCSE Maths and Physics., • Solid understanding of the four pillars of Civil Engineering., • ICE membership eligibility or current progression toward IEng status.
