SEND Teaching Assistant – Exeter Immediate Start | Full-Time | Until End of Academic Year Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Exeter to recruit a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including autism, complex learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs. The Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students, both in and out of the classroom. You will play a key role in helping pupils engage with their learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND, • Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans, • Support students with communication, behaviour, and emotional regulation, • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND (preferred), • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs, • Competitive daily rates, paid weekly, • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant, • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a specialist setting If you are ready to take the next step in your career and make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
