You’ll be the heartbeat of our busy SEN environment, providing vital administrative support to staff and managers, managing essential records, coordinating communications, and ensuring a warm, professional welcome for students, parents, and visitors alike.\nNo two days will be the same as you balance a variety of tasks — from responding to urgent requests, supporting both teaching and support staff, to maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy, and confidentiality. Your contribution will directly support the safe, nurturing environment where every student can flourish.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nManaging and maintaining accurate, confidential records\nCoordinating effective communication between staff, families, and external partners\nHandling a diverse range of administrative tasks that keep daily operations on track\nSupporting staff with urgent requests and helping the school deliver a seamless experience\nCreating a welcoming, professional environment for all visitors and school community members\nPlaying a vital role in upholding the school’s high standards for organisation and confidentiality\nWho We’re Looking For\nExperienced in administration, with solid knowledge of relevant practices and software\nConfident working both independently and collaboratively within a busy team\nExcellent communicator, comfortable drafting letters, memos, and handling sensitive information\nOrganised and efficient with strong time management skills and the ability to juggle priorities under pressure\nTech-savvy with good IT skills to support daily administrative functions\nAdaptable, reliable, and committed to supporting the wellbeing and success of our students\nAbout Us\nUnderley Garden School is a large school with small class sizes, focusing on pupils, aged 5-19, who have a range of complex needs associated with autism and learning disabilities, including complex communication, sensory and behavioural needs associated with their disabilities.\nOur School adopts a holistic, person-centred approach to the development of our pupils and endeavours to ensure that they achieve as high a standard as possible.
