    T&Nshrooms Ltd is a new and fast-growing gourmet mushroom start-up based in Glasgow. We are currently establishing our indoor cultivation facility and preparing to launch production of premium oyster and lion’s mane mushrooms for Scotland’s restaurants and local food markets. We are hiring our first team member — an enthusiastic Entry-Level Mushroom Grower who is keen to apply and develop sterile working skills to help establish Scotland’s newest specialty mushroom business. You’ll be hands-on from day one, learning commercial mushroom production while helping build a sustainable, community-focused local food company. Key Responsibilities • Assist in preparing substrate and sterilising equipment for mushroom cultivation, • Inoculate substrate under sterile conditions, • Support with agar culture work including transfers and viability checks, • Monitor and maintain incubation and fruiting environments (temperature, humidity, CO₂, airflow), • Harvest, clean, and package mushrooms with care and consistency, • Maintain hygiene and biosecurity in the growing space, • Record and track yields, growth, and environmental data What We’re Looking For An interest in fungi, sustainability, controlled-environment growing, or food science Good attention to detail and ability to follow sterile protocols Comfortable working with repetitive tasks in humid environments Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn Ability to work independently in a small start-up setting Experience with fungi on agar or sterile technique is highly desirable (but not essential — full training provided for the right candidate) Why Join T&Nshrooms? • A rare opportunity to become a founding member of a local food start-up, • Learn practical mycology and commercial mushroom cultivation from the ground up, • Hands-on involvement in all aspects of production and business growth, • Real development opportunities into roles like Lead Grower or Lab Manager, • Supportive environment where your ideas and skills help shape our future
