Company Description The Wellbeing Partnership provides evidence-based emotional wellbeing and mental health support across the lifespan. We work with private clients, primary care providers and educational settings, delivering early help, targeted support and specialist interventions through a stepped-care model. Our practice is trauma-informed, relational and grounded in strong clinical governance, supervision and safeguarding. Role Description This role is for a hybrid/on-site advanced counsellor within our targeted mental health service, which provides support to individuals across the lifespan presenting with emotional, relational, and psychological distress. This role sits between early intervention and specialist provision and is ideal for counsellors who are confident working with complex emotional presentations, emerging risk, and neurodivergent clients, within a clearly defined scope of practice. We are looking for an advanced counsellor who can work on-site (Chester/Cheshire)/Hybrid/Remote. You will work with clients experiencing: • Emotional health and wellbeing difficulties, • Anxiety and anxiety-related presentations, • Low mood and depression, • Anger management and emotional regulation difficulties, • Relationship and interpersonal difficulties, • Stress and overwhelm, • Emotional dysregulation, • Mild self-harm (non-acute, non-specialist threshold), • Neurodivergence, including ASC / ADHD, and associated emotional and relational needs You will be expected to work safely within a targeted remit, escalating concerns appropriately and contributing to stepped-care decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Deliver weekly structured counselling interventions across the lifespan, • Complete initial assessments and collaboratively agree therapeutic goals, • Maintain accurate, timely, and ethical clinical records, • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding and risk concerns, • Work within service pathways and escalation protocols, • Attend clinical supervision and contribute to reflective practice, • Work in accordance with professional ethical frameworks and data protection requirements, • Provide high-quality therapeutic services Essential Criteria • Recognised counselling qualification at Level 5, 6, or 7 (e.g. Diploma, Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or equivalent), • Training aligned with person-centred, integrative, CBT-informed, psychodynamic, or trauma-informed approaches, • Current or eligible professional registration (e.g. BACP, UKCP, NCS), • Experience delivering 1:1 counselling across the lifespan or with at least two age groups, • Confidence working with moderate mental health needs and emotional complexity, • Strong understanding of safeguarding, ethical boundaries, and risk management, • Ability to work autonomously within a structured, tiered service model Desirable Criteria • Experience working in targeted / Tier 2-style services, • Experience supporting neurodivergent clients, • Experience working with CYP, families, and adults, • Familiarity with outcome monitoring and service evaluation frameworks, • Experience working alongside education, health, or VCSE partners What We Offer • Competitive sessional pay, • Flexible working aligned to your availability, • Clearly defined scope of practice and clinical pathways, • Opportunities for clinical supervision and professional support, • A trauma-informed, relational organisational culture, • Opportunities to increase hours as service demand grows Safeguarding Statement We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk.
